A two-month-old Indian baby girl was branded with a hot knife by a local healer attempting to cure her pneumonia. Shivani Seheriya had caught the life-threatening infection last month.In desperation, her poverty-stricken mother turned to her village tantric, a traditional therapist used in rural India, for help. Somvati Seheriya, 22, had lost her first daughter to pneumonia a year earlier, and had refused to take her to see the healer at the time. The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro (pictured) has approved the suspension of the Comptroller General of  the Niger state Prison Command, Musa Maiyaki,   the Officer-in-Charge of Medium Security Prison Minna- ACP Mohammed Ibena and all other officers on duty during the jailbreak  on Saturday December 6th  in which over 200 prisoners escaped from the prison  According to a statement by the National Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Prisons Service, Mr Ope Fatinikun, the suspension of the officers was based on recommendations by the new Prison's Comptroller General, Dr Peter Ekpendu. The Comptroller General had recommended the immediate removal and suspension of the officers present at the Maximum Security prison during the jailbreak pending the outcome of investigations. A suspected gay, Mohammed Snu, has been murdered by his partner, Mohammed Umar, inside a room of a hotel in Garki, Abuja. It was gathered that Snu died after he was stabbed multiple times in the ribs with a screw driver by Umar last Thursday. The deceased, who was a regular guest at the hotel, was said to have invited Umar for sex, but their romance went sour when Snu refused to pay his partner for the second round of sex.
