Fellow Nigerians, it is not a hidden fact that I’ve been a great admirer and ubiquitous supporter of the current governing Party in Nigeria, the ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC), from its inception though I belong bodily and spiritually elsewhere in the National Conscience Party. My love for APC was not because I expected its members to be extra-terrestrial beings without foibles and idiosyncrasies but due to the fact that I saw in them the opportunity for possible re-alignment and a veritable platform for an incorruptible leader like General Muhammadu Buhari even if the rest of us are not as perfect. I was also looking forward to the possibility of establishing a new tradition of sacking an underperforming government and banishing the idea that an incumbent leader can never be defeated in Africa. I was under no illusion that any stand-alone Party would achieve this extraordinary feat of terminating the PDP behemoth without the collaboration of other mainstream/mushroom Parties.

According to Source, who witnessed what happened It was indeed an eye sore this evening as a 17 year old boy was caught raping a girl. It all started around 2pm, at st Charles Lwanga Catholic church, okpoko in onitsha, Anambra state when some chaps rushed inside the church and were crying and calling for help.  When we inquired they all begged and asked us to come and help them. Some rushed immediately, why we tried getting sticks and stones to the scene. however, since i was part of those picking sticks i can't confirm whether the girl was actually penetrated or not but it was visibly seen by the way the girl was walking that there was Penetration.  When we caught the boy and thoroughly dealt with him he still refused to speak up due to the embarrassment from his classmates who surrounded him and calling his name, Ukwa,Ukwa,Ukwa. Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state was yesterday pictured with top APC Chieftains like Dele Alake at the burial of his uncle which was held at Aiyede Ekiti yesterday.     Contrary to the perception of the general public,the bad blood between Fayose and APC members is not as we thought.As we all know,there is no permanent enemy or friend in politics.Fayose dines with top APC members but the public think his relationship with them is like that of cat and dog.   It should be recalled that prior to presidential election,the governor was responsible for many hate statements and newspaper adverts against president Buhari.His numerous hate statements attracted several criticisms from many sections of the media and the public.Since Buhari was sworn in,he has been very careful with his utterances.

The changes at the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria’s secret police, entered another phase during the week with new postings and a series of reversals.  TheCable understands that ‎Marilyn Ogar, who was until recently DSS deputy director, public relations, has been transferred to Maiduguri, Borno state, but the posting has now been put on hold following insinuations that it was “punitive”.  Ogar, as spokesperson, was responsible for defending the activities of the agency in the media and she is believed to be paying for some of her pronouncements, notably in the face-off with the Bring Back Our Girls movement and the DSS raids on the Lagos office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) last year.  She has already lost her promotion following the nullification of the recent exercise.  “Right now, she is just hanging around in Abuja awaiting the next order,” a source at the agency informed TheCable.  President Muhammadu Buhari recently appointed Lawal

13 year old Chinemerum was brought to her aunt in Warri, Delta State, in 2013, as a domestic assistant. The aunt was delivered of a baby girl three months ago. Chinemerum had been enrolled at Ekpan Basic Secondary School in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. But her aunt’s husband, Onyeji, allegedly began to have sex with the minor as soon as she arrived in his home. Onyeji, it was gathered, works with an offshore engineering company in Warri. The bubble burst a fortnight ago when the aunt found out ,rather than pity her girl and  scorn  her hubby, the woman used a hot knife on the little girl and excoriated her. 14 people have been confirmed dead after a male suicide bomber dressed in Burqa, blew himself up in the main market in Chad's capital N'Djamena this morning. Chadian police say 14 people were killed while 74 others sustained injuries. "Our current count is 15 dead," police spokesman Paul Manga, said, a total which included the suicide bomber. Several witnesses say the bomber had tried to enter the market wearing a woman's burqa. Chad authorities banned the head-to-toe religious garment last month saying attackers could use it as a disguise or hide explosives underneath. "The suicide bomber was a man disguised as a woman (in a burqa). He tried to enter the market when he was intercepted by police. That is when he detonated the bomb." the Chadian police spokesperson said.

Beggars in Kaduna state staged a peaceful protest over the recent ban placed by the state government on beggars and street hawkers. Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Tuesday July 7th placed a ban on street hawkers and beggars after the bomb blast that killed 44 people in Sabogari, Kaduna state.
