A suicide bomber around 7.35pm this evening blew himself up at the Arawa area in Gombe state near the Gombe state University, killing at least 15 people. The area attacked is a mini market where buyers and sellers converge...

Yesterday, the Nigerian Military referred to an interview of purported Nigerian Soldiers by CNN as satanic ...The soldiers alleged they were living under horrible conditions .. Some soldiers engaged in the war against terror in the North have told CNN that they are not being properly funded and equipped by the Federal Government.In an interview with CNN, the soldiers, whose faces were not shown, said they were not well equipped and even had to buy their own uniforms. One of the soldiers, who is currently serving in Jos, Plateau State, said many of his colleagues were forced to flee when they were overpowered by terrorists due to the (terrorists) superior firing power. “The troop’s morale is very low because we are not issued with kits (uniforms and boots); we buy the kits ourselves.Yes, we buy them..   An armed man who earlier took several hostages at a post office northwest of Paris on Friday has surrendered with no one hurt, a French police official told Reuters. The man equipped with a military weapon took an unconfirmed number of hostages at the post office in the town of Colombes, just outside the capital. "I cannot confirm or deny whether it is linked to terrorism," an official at the city prosecutor's office told Reuters earlier, declining to give further details. BFM TV, citing an unidentified source, said the hostage drama was not related to last week's attacks in Paris. French police arrested 12 people earlier on Friday suspected of helping militant Islamist gunmen in last week's killings in Paris. There have been numerous false alerts across the city since the attacks.

According to  Sahara Reporters Islamist militant group, Boko Haram has intensified their attacks in Borno state less than 24 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan paid an unscheduled visit to the state. Villagers invade told SaharaReporters that the militants killed several villagers and burnt down many homes as well as shops. The attack that was initially resisted by vigilantes known as “Civilian Joint Task Force” affected Kayamula, a village some 15km to the Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri. Kayamula is in Konduga local government area of the state. Some resident, that fled the scene of the attack, said they received advance notice that Boko Haram militants were headed to the village and passed the information to the army but nothing was done to protect the village.

Angry youth stoned to death an unidentified man in Kano State on allegation he belonged to the Islamist militant Boko Haram sect. The man was lynched by hundreds young men who grouped near Kano Central Mosque just before the beginning of Friday prayers. The attackers said the man came to the area with an explosive substantial and a gun. When a group of youth saw him, they chased man from Karkasara to the Central Mosque where he was rounded up and stoned to death. The Kano Police spokesman, Musa Majiya, confirmed the episode. Meanwhile he said security personnel arrived at the scene immediately but could not hint any of the supposed weapons the man was accused of carrying. Magaji, an Assistance Superintendent of Police, said because the unproved suspicion, police had started investigation into what really occurred. Policemen attached to the Trade Fair police station in Lagos State are in shock over a mysterious fire that gutted a commercial bus detained in the station. It was gathered that the driver of the bus ran away after he was stopped by the police to present his driver’s license. The policemen drove the abandoned bus conveying children diapers to the station but a strange fire was discovered about midnight inside the bus parked at the station. The fire burnt some of the diapers and almost caused an inferno at the station but the policemen on duty were able to put out the fire. A police source said  “This is something that we cannot explain. We were sleeping about 2am that day when we saw a fire inside the bus. The fire was raging seriously and we ran to look for water and extinguishers to put it out. Though we were able to quench the fire but some of the pampers (diapers) in the bus were destroyed. With less than a month before Nigerians go to the polls to decide who will lead the country for the next four years, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said only God knows who Nigeria’s next president will be. According to a Tribune newspaper report online, Pastor Adeboye made the statement on Thursday, at the just-concluded two-day Bible study programme organised by the University of Ibadan, U.I, Christian Family Fellowship, at the International Conference Centre, UI. One Mrs Oluwatoyin Olafare, 45, who is married to a clergy man, has asked to divorce her husband of 18 years, for lack of care.  The heartwarming moment 19 year old twin brothers decided to reveal their gay status to their dad has been recorded on  camera..The twin brothers decided that the new year was a time for a new start when they used their YouTube channel to come out to their father. L.A.-based models Aaron and Austin Rhodes known on YouTube as The Rhodes Bros - posted a video to their channel in which they discussed the decision to come out. They then called their father, who lives in Ohio. In the video which has now been viewed more than 5 million times.Aaron explained that there is something they want to tell him that is going to be on YouTube soon, and with his voice cracking he said:  'I'm gay and... Austin is too.' A tearful Austin said:  'I just didn't want you to find out through YouTube and I just wanted to be able to have that conversation, because I feel like we're close enough, and I finally feel like I'm at that point now where I'm able to tell
