PDP, Oyinlola, Shift Battle For Supremacy To INEC
The battle of supremacy between the Peoples Democratic Party and its National Secretary, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been shifted to the Independent National Electoral Commission. Following a letter by Oyinlola to the commission yesterday notifying it about the Court of Appeal judgement that reinstated him to his position, the party sent a letter to the same commission today informing it that Oyinlola and three other persons have been suspended from the party. The others “suspended” are Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, Dr. Sam Sam Jaja and Amb. Ibrahim Kazaure. The National Working Committee letter, signed by party Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and dated November 12, 2013 comes one week after the pronouncement of the Court of Appeal. It accuses the four men of engaging in anti-party activities in violation of the provisions of the PDP Constitution.
