Kabiru 'Sokoto' Usman, the prime suspect in the Christmas Day bomb attack at St Theresa Catholic Church in 2011 that killed 44 people and injured several others, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja this morning. I'm Not A Robber, I Only Give Robbers Information ––Nonso

A 28-year-old man, Nonso Egbuzobi, who was arrested by operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad during a robbery operation in Lagos State, has pleaded with the police to release him, saying he was just an informant and not a member of any robbery gang. Police authorities had said Egbuzobi and three others were part of a gang that killed three policemen during an ATM robbery at an Access Bank branch in Ayobo, Ipaja area of the state on November 20, 2013. “Like I said, I did not rob, I only gave the robbers information that they needed. I am a responsible man and even a footballer at Lagos State University, it was poverty that pushed me to become armed robbers’ informant,” Nonso cries.

Another Baby Factory demolished in Abia

The baby factory being demolished, yesterday. UMUAHIA — LESS than a week after the Abia State government demolished a five-storey building used as a baby factory home in Aba, another uncompleted building has been demolished, this time, at Umuobia Olokoro in Umuahia South Local Government Area of the state. The government said the demolished uncompleted building was being used as baby sales point. Speaking during the demolition exercise, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security and Task Force Matters, Captain Awa Udonsi Agwu (rtd), explained that the state government had zero tolerance for crime.

Mariah Carey Slammed by Human Rights Group Over Concert in Angola, Singer Reportedly Paid $1 Million

Mariah Carey  has come under fire following a recent concert in Angola. The Human Rights Foundation is heavily criticizing the "All I Want for Christmas" singer after she performed for the nation's "corrupt" president  José Eduardo dos Santos  on Sunday, Dec. 15, four years after the pop star apologized for her 2009 performance for Libyan leader  Moammar Gadhafi . Carey sang a two-hour set at Luanda's Coqueiros Stadium at a gala for the Angolan Red Cross, which was sponsored by Unitel, a mobile company owned by dos Santos' daughter Isabel, who also serves as president of the Angolan Red Cross.
