Channels TV has shared a video showing Charly Boy collapsing at the anti-Buhari protest that took place in Abuja earlier today. Some police officers fired tear gas canister and water cannon to disperse the protesting group who are demanding the immediate resignation or return of President Buhari who has been in the UK for 92 days.  Watch the video below

A cting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has expressed surprise at the news report quoting Chief Ayo Adebanjo as saying he described those agitating for restructuring as political jobbers. In a statement released by his media aide, Laolu Akande today, Osinbajo said that at no time did he say that those asking for restructuring were political jobbers looking for appointments. The video, audio tapes and full text of his speech at the National Security summit organized last week by the Department of State Services, DSS are publicly available. The statement in part reads "While several newspapers and media outlets reported Prof. Osinbajo’s said speech last Wednesday, not one of the publications made such a blatantly inaccurate claim that he said those asking for restructuring were political jobbers. Customs seizes N1.3b worth of brand new vehicles arrests 17 suspects

T he Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has impounded 37 brand new exotic vehicles estimated at N1.3billion after bursting a smuggling ring. Addressing reporters at the Customs Training School in Lagos, Tuesday, the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Col. Hamed Ali (Rtd) said the seizures were made by officers and men of the Federal Operation Unit (FOU) Zone ‘A’ Ikeja and the CGC Compliance Team in Lagos. The vehicles, according to the CG, include eight Lexus Jeep -LX570, 2017 model; 12 Land Cruiser Jeep-GXR, 2017 model and 17 Toyota Hilux of 2016, 2013, 2012, 2012, 2011 and 209 models respectively, Customs, Col. Ali said, also seized 12,081 bags of smuggled parboiled rice with a Duty Paid Value ( DPV) of over N149million. Findings revealed that some of the smugglers used the number plates on some of the new vehicles as a decoy to beat Customs’ checks. OZUBULU KILLING: Police Move To Arrest Drug Lord Bishop In South Africa

N igeria Police Force, NPF, has revealed some of the steps it has taken to get the masterminds of the Anambra church attack living abroad arrested. The police said it had asked for the assistance of Interpol for the arrest of the South African-based masterminds of the killings. The decision was reached after preliminary investigations showed that the attack was caused by business disagreement between two drug lords living abroad. While Interpol would carry out the international aspect of the arrest, the NPF would see to the arrest of the local collaborators and perpetrators of the attack. The Anambra State Commissioner of Police had earlier told DAILYPOST that some of the suspects had been arrested. T he massacre of 12 people by gunmen on Sunday at St. Phillip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State was the climax of a drugs-related gang war that started four years ago, INDEPENDENT learnt on Monday.
