EXPOSED: Lagos bar where male sex workers hustle for clients

Image
The time was 7pm, penultimate Saturday. The venue was a hotel on Abaranje Road in Ikotun, a suburb in Lagos State. He adorned black denims on a black T-shirt. He said his name was Kenny, of course, he admitted it wasn’t his real name. He sauntered into the hotel as if his main aim was to have a couple of drinks and maybe complement it with a plate of sizzling pepper soup. But Kenny didn’t just come to only have a drink, Kenny is first of all, a male commercial sex worker and was looking for a customer that he would ‘service’ in order to make a quick cash for the weekend. One of our correspondents got to know Kenny through a regular customer, who had been patronising the motel bar for a long time and who once had a close contact with him. Being a regular face in the bar as the place seemed to be his office at night, his presence was certain, and indeed, he came, our correspondent waited for him. It is no news that bars and drinking joints are the right spots for many on

Pensioner chops off penis after wife leaves him for younger man

Image
Turgut Oymen, 73, was left devastated after his lifelong sweetheart, Nese, left him for a young doctor on the eve of their golden wedding anniversary. In anger, the heartbroken pensioner chopped off his penis and threw it in a river. While Nese, 70, was 550 miles away in Istanbul, Turkey, she called Turgut to say she had fallen in love with a 55-year-old doctor, and had decided to stay in the city. In despair, the 73-year-old rushed down to the river to commit the act before calling for an ambulance. The bleeding pensioner, was taken to hospital where doctors operated to patch up the gaping wound after a search of the river bank failed to find the missing organ. A hospital spokesman said: “He lost a lot of blood and is lucky he didn’t die at his age. He told medics that he had decided to get rid of his manhood because he felt it was useless and he felt like he was no longer a man.” Mehmet Koc, 70, a friend, said the father-of-six had been devast

I am not getting endorsements because I refuse to change my brand-Terry G

Image
Terry G has opened up in a new interview with  Punch  on why he won't lose his crazy image, marriage and setting trends On Marriage It will happen very soon but it takes planning and much more. Ironically, I am facing a lot of pressure regarding marriage but it is not from either of our families. The pressure is from outsiders. I want to work hard and be stable. I want to work to the extent that I would not rely on music because I do music for fun. Everybody knows that she lives with me and I am already living like a married man. Why do you like being controversial? It is what sells. I am not the rave-of –the –moment artiste but I am still very relevant in the industry and it is because I am controversial. I love the controversy. I like making people talk. People are of the opinion that since you became a father, you have calmed down in your lifestyle, do you agree to that? Yes it is true. Anybody that has a child must calm down, it is a general thing. Once you

Residents of Obele community in Oko-Agbola, Magbon area of Badagry, Lagos, were taken aback at the sight of policemen at the site of a swimming pool around the area on February 13, 2015. FUNNY: Woman changes name to Abcdefg Hijklmn Opqrst Uvwxyz

Image
A Colombian woman recently changed her name to include all 26 letters in alphabetical order. Her first name is Abcdefg Hijklmn while her last name is Opqrst Uvwxyz. Before the latest change in nomenclature, the 36-year-old was called ‘Ladyzunga Cyborg’, a name she came up with along the line. She is notorious for the act but her latest stunt is believed to be extremely bizarre. The Colombian in a recent television interview said: “I started looking for a name that nobody had in Colombia, or the world, so I thought about ABCDEFG HIJKLMN OPQRST UVWXYZ. “I’ve changed my name so people wouldn’t know it’s me. It’s not because I was disturbed by it, but because I always wanted to bring an element of surprise.” Well, she sure did surprise Colombian National Registry officials with her highly unusual request. While they’ve accepted her previous name changes with raised eyebrows, they seemed to be particularly bothered by this latest one. According to te

More celebrity lies By Etcetera

Image
And all liars shall go to hell – Rev 21:8. Again, I’m going to go out on a limb here to talk on a subject that may not be very popular or nice to Nigerian celebs, especially the guilty ones. I have said it severally that just because someone is a celebrity doesn’t mean they are smart. They may have a talent or skill but many of them are not smart especially when it involves their finances. The old saying, “your lies will come back to haunt you” has never been more true than the recent cases of D’banj, Iyanya and Wizkid who are being kicked out of their homes after lying they owned the properties. The residents of blogosphere boulevard were stunned when the news broke that D’banj got an eviction notice from his landlord and was also said to be highly indebted. Yes, it is hard to believe that someone of D’banj’s status could actually be thrown out of his house. But for those who know that the Nigerian entertainment industry is built on lies and more lies, it didn’t com

Mbu denies order to shoot civilians

Image
Former Rivers State Commissioner of Police and current Assistant-Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Lagos, has said he was misquoted by reports that he ordered policemen to kill 20 civilians for every officer killed in the coming general elections. Mbu in a statement signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olugbemiga Adeoye, explained that he only “advised his policemen not to be cowardly but to be guided by Force Order 237 on the use of their firearms.” According to him, the firearms are not only meant to defend themselves but also others “including fellow police officers when their lives are in danger.” The AIG, who said he was quoted out of context, believes that reports on the issue have been fraught with political undertone. He said such reports were geared towards portraying him in a bad light and as an officer who does not uphold the rule of law. The statement said, “Although policemen are not to be seen with fire
