Nyesom Wike is a lying, reckless, irresponsible and brutal forger that has become the laughing stock of his peers and the nation- Rotimi Amaechi

Image
I t appears the fight between former Rivers state governor now Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, and his successor, Nyesom Wike, is not abating any time soon. In a fresh statement released by his media aide, Isreal Ibeleme, Amaechi is accusing Wike of forging documents that would be used against him in court. He described Wike as a lying, reckless, irresponsible and brutal forger that has become the laughing stock of his peers and the nation. Read his statement below Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has continued to twist, falsify and forge fresh documents that he intends to use against the immediate past governor of the state and now Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Wike wants to use the elaborately distorted and most times outrightly but carefully forged documents to persecute and prosecute his erstwhile benefactor in court. In the past couple of days, Wike has been telling anyone who cares to listen, bragging that he will certainly ge

When Buhari saw how much has been looted, he became sick- Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore says

Image
O moyele Sowore had a presentation at the Tracking Faulty Towers workshop which held at the University of Kent, London over the weekend where he said that President Buhari became sick after he discovered the amount that has been looted by previous administrations. According to him, there is no more corruption in Nigeria because there is no more money to steal.  “There is no corruption in Nigeria anymore because there is nothing else to steal and loot. When Buhari saw how much has been looted, he became sick. We are happy that Nigeria is no longer among the ten top countries in the world. Western countries accepting Nigeria and other countries stolen money should be the ones tagged corrupt. In my village, the custodian of stolen things is seen as the main criminal. People cannot steal in western countries because where to keep the stolen money is a challenge. The Western world made their system very difficult to steal and loot money.” he said

EFCC releases statement explaining why its former twitter handler left the commission

Image
Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi worked in the Public Affairs Directorate of the Commission since November 2014, where he exhibited his talent as a consummate professional. Before moving on, he managed the twitter handle of the Commission; @officialEFCC amongst other assignments. Adeyemi harboured personal dreams even before assuming duties at the Commission and he has now decided to fulfill those dreams. Like a parent that finds joy in seeing a child grow, we are happy for Adeyemi because the Eagle must be allowed to soar. And, like the Eagle that always maintains its nest, Adeyemi’s home remains the EFCC. The world and Twitter have certainly not seen the last of "The Handler".

Nigeria needs new constitution, not amendment - Senior Lawyer

Image
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Robert Clark, has called on the National Assembly to consider reviewing the provisions of Section 145 of the 1999 constitution to provide for a decisive action regarding the president’s state of health. He also said what Nigeria needs is not an amendment of the current constitution but a new one. Mr. Clark was speaking at a television program, Sunday politics, on Channels Television. The senior lawyer said the popular concern regarding the medical vacation currently embarked upon by President Muhammadu Buhari, is not just a product of the president’s absence, but the effect of non-compliance with constitutional provisions, as well as a ‘lacuna’ in the constitution. “The funny thing about Nigeria is that we never learn from our previous mistakes. During the case of Yar’adua when he was so sick that he could not come back, instead of going to the constitution and seeing what it says, we started talking about the doctrine of necessity. T

Fashola outlines priority road projects, apologises to National Assembly

Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Friday reiterated the federal government’s established plans to build road and bridge network across the country. Mr. Fashola also highlighted the order of priorities in which the roads would be built through a revolving plan put around three years, between 2017 and 2019. The minister explained that the intention was to connect states, drive economy, move fuel, food and import and export of goods. He spoke at the sitting of the House of Representatives’ Investigative Committee on Breach of Privilege, Violation of Appropriation Act and Incitement of the Nigerian Public. The committee had invited the minister over the statement credited to him with regards to the alterations in the ministry’s 2017 budget. But the minister said he never attacked the National Assembly as a body, saying his response was specifically to the spokesperson of the House who accused him of being “untruthful” in a pr
