President Jonathan worshiped at Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners Chapel in Canaanland, Ota today January 25th for their thanksgiving service after their 21 days fasting period. There's been a lot of controversy over what Pastor Oyedepo really said to GEJ at the service. While some said pastor Oyedepo said " We will open the gate of hell on those who oppose you ", members of the church who said they were there said what Oyedepo actually said was  "All those opposing and against the peace of Nigeria, God would open the gates of hell to them" .  k

Nigerians in London staged a protest in front of the Nigerian House in the UK today January 25th to register their support for the people of Baga, in Borno state following recent attacks in the community where many people have been killed and abducted.

FG Planning To Ban Watching of Porn Moivies (Blue Film) In Nigeria

The National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), says the Federal Government is planning to introduce a law that will ban and block all porn websites in the country. He stated this at the closing ceremony of a three-day workshop on use of social media organised for Islamic preachers, Imams and youths in Kaduna  on Sunday . The  News Agency of Nigeria  reports that the workshop, which was organised by the national body of Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatis Sunna, aimed at correcting anomalies in the use of social media. Dasuki, who was represented by the Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Kabiru Turaki, said,  “Government is planning to ban and block websites that inculcate negative attitudes in our children but we need a law to support such move. Because without a law, people can go to court and claim infringement on their rights.”

Boko Haram reportedly captures Monguno village

According to reports, members of Boko Haram sect have captured Monguno village in Borno state after attacking the area very early this morning. They also attempted to attack the state capital, Maiduguri, but was repelled by the Nigerian military. There's a 24-hour curfew there right now.
