The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has stated that Anambra governorship election will not hold if Nigeria is not restructured before October 1, 2017”, He reportedly gave the condition on Monday at an event in Enugu where he received awards from three Igbo groups, including the Eastern Consultative Assembly and the Igbo Students’ Association. Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha, says President Buhari should be back to the country within the next two weeks. Okorocha who was part of some APC governors and chieftains who paid President Buhari a visit at the Abuja house in London yesterday, spoke with BBC World in the UK today where he gave an update on the President's state of health as well as when he is scheduled to return home. Okorocha in the interview said President Buhari was in high spirits and fully engaged in discussions about the Nation. President Buhari who is currently in the UK for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment left Nigeria on May 7th.

Innoson Motors Goes Continental, Sells 400 Vehicles To Mali.

Innoson motors has now turned to a continental business venture, with the Mayor of Bamako leading a delegation from Mali to the automobile manufacturing plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, to purchase about 400 vehicles. According to the information released by the company yesterday, the chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Co Ltd, Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, received a delegation from Mali led by the Mayor of Bamako, Mr. Harimakan Keita, for a factory tour of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Nnewi. The visit, which was facilitated by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council led by Segun Awolowo, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing on purchasing about 400 Innoson IVM vehicles that will be exported to Mali. Saraki Threatening Our Lives, Say Members Of Group Seeking Senate President’s Recall

Kwara Must Change, the group spearheading the recall of Senate President, Mr. Bukola Saraki, from the National Assembly, has alleged that its members have been receiving death threats because of their agitation. The group made the allegation in a statement issued on Monday. Signed by Mr. Yusuf Olatunji, the group’s Coordinator for Kwara Central Senatorial District, the statement said the threats have been mostly directed towards Kwara Must Change President, Mr. Abdulrazaq O Hamzat. It added that it has decided to formally report the death threats by Mr. Saraki’s aides to all the country’s security agencies and international bodies, including the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), African Union, United Nations and foreign embassies in Nigeria.  According to the group, its mission to recall Mr. Saraki is hinged on the poor representation he has provided for the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District. 6 Die, 15 Injured As Suicide Bombers Hit Internally Displaced Persons' Camp In Borno

Four Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were, on Sunday night, killed when two male suicide bombers detonated explosives strapped to their bodies at Dalori 2 IDP camp in Maiduguri. The explosion also claimed the lives of the suicide bombers and left 15 others injured. The injured victims, SaharaReporters learned, were taken to a specialist hospital in Maiduguri for treatment. According to Borno State Police Commissioner, Mr. Damian Chukwu, the attack occurred at about 11.15pm when the bombers attempted gaining access into Dalori 2 IDP camp through the rear fence. Mr. Chukwu said they were sighted and chased by security personnel on duty, forcing the terrorists to detonate the explosive devices on them. He was, however, silent on the scale of the casualty from the attack. The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) has released its mid-term evaluation of the presidency of Muhammadu Buhari.  Among other findings, the group said Mr. Buhari has a 57 percent approval rating among the Nigerian population. While the CDD acknowledged that Mr. Buhari's performance improved in his second year of office, it advised his administration to be more holistic in its governance by focusing not only on anti-corruption and insecurity, but on the health, education and other sectors instrumental to national development.
