Image
When rumours that AC Milan midfielder and Ghanaian football star, Michael Essien, has contracted the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease surfaced earlier today, the African football circle was thrown into a frenzy, with many praying that the story turns out as false.  It was not long before it became clear that it was nothing more than rumours which allegedly must have been ignited by someone out to cause mischief.  Named Юрий Алкаев, his Twitter handle is @YuryAlkaev and his bio reads: ‘former SVR agent currently living in Northern Ireland.  Owner of several Casino franchises across the British Isles and Scandinavia. Sports journalist.’ However, with the confusion caused by his tweets which quotes the spokesman of AC Milan in a report that is nowhere near the truth, one wonders what kind of journalist Alkaev is. Dangers of Indecent Dressing for our Young Ladies

Image
Piety and reverence is typically synonymous with modesty. But today, caution seems to have been thrown to the wind as indecent dressing, even in places of worship, has become a trend. Clergies are beginning to express fears over the spate of indecent dressing in churches, especially by ladies. This phenomenon, that was once alien to Africa, is gradually becoming a norm and is contributing to the increase in the rate of immorality and other ills plaguing the society. The ugly act has taken a dangerous dimension in the society with young ladies often found in attires that reveal their body anatomy inside out. To many, the dressing pattern is suggestive of something. More embarrassing is the fact those dresses are largely transparent. || " Our pride as women lies in hidden and protected treasure; but when a girl exposes it to the public, it reduces her worth in the sight of everyone in society and it makes the man to lose respect in her , there won’t be anything left for t

Pastor Oritsejafor's Relationship with Asari Dokubo Questioned

Image
The complex saga revolving CAN President Ayo Oritsejafor’s purported involvement in the South African arms deal scandal has taken a new twist with his connection to Asari-Dokubo under scrutiny.  On Wednesday, the National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Lai Mohammed had alleged that Asari Dokubo was on board the plane belonging to Oritsejafor that illegally ferried US$9.3 million to South Africa for the purchase of weaponry.  "If these arms are meant to fight insurgency, as the government has claimed, what is Asari Dokubo’s business purchasing arms for the Nigerian military, if indeed they were for the military? Does it not occur to the Nigerian government that this man who once took arms against the state may not have jettisoned his sinister plan against the same state,” the statement read. This was followed by an old picture reappearing on social media purporting to show Oritsejafor smiling with Asari Dokubo and Mohammed Yusuf, the late

EBOLA NOW IN US: Texas health worker contracts Ebola after ‘breach of protocol’

Image
DALLAS — A Texas health care worker who was in full protective gear while providing hospital care for an Ebola patient who later died has tested positive for the virus and is in stable condition, health officials said Sunday. If the preliminary diagnosis is confirmed, it would be the first known case of the disease being contracted or transmitted in the U.S. Meanwhile, a top federal health official said the health care worker’s Ebola diagnosis shows there was a clear breach of safety protocol and all those who treated Thomas Eric Duncan are now considered to be potentially exposed. Dr. Daniel Varga, of the Texas Health Resources, said during a news conference Sunday that the worker wore a gown, gloves, mask and shield while they provided care to Duncan during his second visit to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. Varga did not identify the worker and says the family of the worker has “requested total privacy.” Varga says the health care worker reported a fever Friday night

According to MailOnline, it appears that isn't necessarily the case. The 26-year-old star had trouble going through airport security as she took a flight out of Miami on Thursday. She had arrived for the flight a bit too blinged out and had struggled as she had to remove articles of jewelry and clothing piece-by-piece until the metal detector stopped beeping. As she was forced to take off more and more of her belongings, the singer seemed to become increasingly upset until she finally tossed one of her black leather boots to the ground. Photos: MailOnline.
