The social media accounts of the US military's Central Command in Florida was hacked by ISIS who posted threatening messages against troops, their families and the home addresses of 4-star US generals.The cyber attack began at around 12.30pm on Monday when a message was posted to CentCom's Twitter account reading,  'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the CyberCaliphate continues its CyberJihad.'  The hackers also changed the photograph used on the the Twitter cover page to a masked jihadi with an underline that said 'i love you isis.' The security breach, occurred while President Obama was giving a speech on cyber security.. Ambode vs Agbaje The Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denied allegations that its governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, is set to sack workers if voted in as governor of the state on February 28. In a statement by its publicity secretary, Mr Gani Taofik, disclosed that Agbaje will sack APC in Lagos as Fayose sacked them in Ekiti. The Lagos APC through its Publicity secretary, Joe Igbokwe had issued statement alleging plans by Agbaje to sack Lagos workers as allegedly done by Fayose in Ekiti. President Goodluck Jonathan has promised two million jobs yearly if re-elected into office. Mr. Jonathan spoke Monday in Ibadan, Oyo State, were he met supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the February 14 election. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the president as saying he will generate jobs for the teeming unemployed population in Nigeria. He did not say how that will happen, after largely failing to provide as many jobs in the last six years as president. Besides corruption and insecurity, the Jonathan administration is persistently criticised over the huge unemployed population in the country. The government has always pointed to its Small and Medium Scale support programme, Youwin, which gives grants to only 1,200 people yearly. The government says the programme has engaged hundreds of thousands, a figure that has been questioned. The government has also failed to defend its claim that it created 1.6 million jobs in 2013. ...

The Nigerian extremist sect, Boko Haram, has attacked a military base in Cameroon with at least one soldiers killed, local media have reported. The attack occurred early Monday, about a week after Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, threatened attacks on Cameroon after the country’s military launched repeated assaults against the sect. A Cameroun-based journalist, Bisong Eta, who tweeted about the attack, said the attack was repelled by the Cameroonian military and that calm had returned. “@ChiefBisongEta1 Cameroonian soldier Onana Balla died in the BH attack on the Kolofata army base this morning. Attackers chased away. All calm now,” he tweeted. Boko Haram has conducted several raids in Kolofata in the past, which was often repelled by the military. President Jonathan says if re-elected, he will tackle corruption in Nigeria using modern technology. The President said this while speaking at his campaign rally in Ibadan today. He said that even if he jails 5 million people for corruption, the problem will still persist but that with modern technology, corruption would be prevented. He said his govt is currently working on introducing the technology "In terms of the number of people I have tried and jailed, maybe I would give you the statistics in my subsequent outings. Matthew Ashimolowo says he knows who Nigeria’s next president is Nigerian-born senior pastor of London’s Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC); Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has claimed to know the results of the forth coming presidential election in Nigeria. Pastor Tunde Bakare Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly has come down hard on those accusing him of taking bribe to campaign against President Goodluck Jonathan. Apparently reacting to speculations in some quarters that he had been paid an undisclosed amount of money to campaign against the candidacy of Jonathan of the PDP, Bakare said will punish whoever is accusing him of taking bribe. Speaking to his congregants on Sunday in a video uploaded by Sahara Reporters, the cleric said he has not said anything that has not been said before. He therefore challenged those accusing him to come forward with proof. Bakare was Buhari’s running mate in 2011 under the platform of the defunct Congress for Progress Change, CPC. Unknown gunmen today Jan. 12th broke into the home of the Chairman of the APC, John Oyegun. According to a statement by the party, two men suspected to be assassins broke into Mr Oyegun's Abuja home around 1.3am and went straight into his bedroom to ransack it. The men met Oyegun's wife as he was not at home when they came. “The facts of the raid as available so far point to a sinister motive. For example, only Chief Oyegun’s room was ransacked in the whole house. Common sense dictates that if the invaders were robbers, they would have ransacked the whole house in search of money and other valuables which they might have believed were in the residence. The invaders, 2 burly men, removed the window burglar bars to gain access to the residence from the back, and then made straight for the bedroom of our national chairman. Police security was in place at the residence when the incident happened.” the statement read
