New Malaysian Airlines ad ask customers what they want to do before they die #MH370 #MH17

Image
Malaysia Airlines has provoked a storm of controversy by asking customers to list the things they would most like to do before they die. The airline, which lost two planes this year in disasters that claimed 537 lives, committed the marketing gaffe when it launched a "My Ultimate Bucket List" campaign on Monday.  The campaign called on Australian and New Zealand residents to write their own bucket list and enter it into a competition to win flights to Malaysia and iPads. But with the world still reeling from the twin catastrophes of the MH370 and MH17 crashes, social media users swiftly began mocking the marketing ploy. It has since been rebranded around "your ultimate to-do list". "The competition had earlier been approved as it was themed around a common phrase that is used in both countries," the airline said in a statement. "The airline appreciates and respects the sentiments of the public and in no way did it intend to offend any part

Image
Yesterday, a former governor of Borno state, Mr. Modu Sheriff addressed a press conference at Abuja where he attempted to play on the collective intelligence of Nigerians by denying any link with the dreaded Boko Haram sect. He was apparently reacting to his indictment by Rev Stephen Davis, the international negotiator engaged by the federal government to dialogue with the Boko Haram sect to secure the release of the abducted Chibok girls In his press conference Mr. Sheriff claimed that he only met the late Mohammed Yussuf, the leader of the Boko Haram sect after he had been arrested by the army. As the Chief Security Officer in Borno State at the material time the ex-governor should open up on the circumstances of the extra judicial killing of Muhammed Yusuff and his father-in-law, Alhaji Kuba. More importantly, Mr. Sheriff should explain to Nigerians the basis of the appointment of Alhaji Buji Foi, a boko haram leader as the Commissioner of Religious Affairs in Borno State

The imminent breakup of their marriage may be the least of the problems popular mega-church pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, and his wife, Anita, are facing at the moment as the United Kingdom agency is investigating the UK branch of their church, Christ Embassy, over controversial payments.  The United Kingdom Charity Commission has launched a probe into the transfer of at least N941 million (£3.6 million) by the church to overseas entities between 2008 and 2012. In a statement on Wednesday, the Charity Commission said it has opened a statutory inquiry to investigate Christ Embassy over “a number of serious concerns relating to the use of charitable funds, in particular large connected party payments and the potential misapplication of grant funding.”  According to the Charity Commission, which is the regulator of charities in England and Wales, statutory inquiries are only opened to investigate “the most serious” regulatory breaches. The commission said the purpose of the

WONDERS: Photos: SEE How Indian girl Marries a Dog to ward off evil spirits

Image
An 18-year-old Indian girl has married a stray dog as part of a tribal ritual designed to ward off an evil spell. DailyMail reports that Mangli Munda, from a remote village in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand, wed the canine in a lavish ceremony. The wedding was hastily organised by village elders after a local guru led Mangli's parents to believe that the teenager possessed ill-luck and that marrying a man would bring destruction to the family and her community. The baffled dog, Sheru, a stray found by the girl's father, was brought to the wedding in a chauffeur driven car and welcomed by revellers.                           Mangli, who has not been to school, said she was not happy to wed a dog, but insisted that it will help change her fortunes. The hesitant bride said: 'I am marrying a dog because the village elders believe that my evil spell will be passed on to the dog. After that is done, the man I will marry will have a long life.'

Ebola could spread faster in Port Harcourt than Lagos – WHO

Image
An Ebola outbreak in Nigeria’s oil producing hub of Port Harcourt could spread wider and faster than in Lagos, the World Health Organization warned on Thursday. The UN health body said the arrival of the virus in Port Harcourt, which is 435 kilometres (270 miles) east of Lagos, showed “multiple high-risk opportunities for transmission of the virus to others”. The haemorrhagic fever, which has hit five countries in West Africa and caused nearly 2,000 deaths this year, first arrived in Nigeria when a Liberian finance ministry official died in Lagos on July 25. He was taken from the city’s airport to a private hospital by two officials from the West African regional bloc ECOWAS. One of the officials later died of the disease but the other evaded detection to travel to Port Harcourt, where he fell ill and was treated in secret at a city hotel room by medical doctor Ike Enemuo from August 1-3. The ECOWAS official recovered but the WHO said Enemuo continued to treat patients at

#ISIS ALSO CRY: ISIS Extremists Turned Crybabies after Caught and Slapped Around by Soldiers (VIDEO)

Image
In a video that’s just too good to pass up, a series of ISIS extremists were captured by soldiers and slapped around a bit. In a bout of diminished masculinity, the Muslim militants were reduced to crybabies after finding themselves in a situation all too familiar (albeit their roles reversed). Instead of facing their capture with dignity, the jihadists found themselves a whimpering and sniveling mess. This is pretty ironic behavior for Muslim extremists, if you compare it to how “brave” they acted in the videos released during recent days (the executions of Foley and Sotloff). They proved themselves to be nothing more than cowards all along. Watch the video below
