'People complaining of hardship are in the minority' - Femi Adesina

Image
Really, sir? Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, says people who are complaining of hardship are in the minority. Adesina reportedly said this while speaking in a telephone interview with 100.1FM Abuja. “Yes, you need to give me the statistics of those complaining. We (government officials) are in the midst of the people and we can feel the pulse of the people. I maintain that the people who are complaining are in the minority. I can tell you that the support base of this government is still enormous. Yes, we know some people are complaining but, they are still in the minority”he said

SAD STORY: FACE of Mother of 7 butchered to death while preaching in Kubwa, Abuja

Mother of seven, Deaconess Eunice Olawale, was butchered to death by some unidentified persons while preaching in the morning at Gbazango community in Kubwa satellite town in Bwari council area, Abuja in the early hours of today July 9th.  Narrating how he got to know of her murder, her husband of 16 years, Pastor Elisha Olawale, said "Two of my sons who are footballers went to the field to play. They just came back to tell me that they heard some footballers saying that they butchered a woman preaching the gospel early this morning. When they told me, I trekked down. When I got there, I didn't see anybody but I saw blood on the ground. I then asked a policeman about a woman who was butchered to death. He said yes its true and they have taken her to the police station. When we got to the police station, my wife was at the back of the pickup. They removed her head and two legs. We have taken her to the mortuary"he said. Meanwhile the Abuja pol

Niger Delta Avengers is PDP’s “resistance wing” – Akpabio’s former aide

Image
As the Niger Delta Avengers continues to bomb oil pipelines and sabotage Nigeria’s wobbling economy, refusing the government’s plea to lay down arms, one man from Akwa Ibom State appears to think differently about the militants. Ata Ikiddeh, a former special assistant on diaspora matters to ex-Akwa Ibom Gov. Godswill Akpabio said recently on Facebook that it took “five blown up oil pipelines” to get Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, and a former Minister of Aviation, out of prison. Mr. Akpabio (Akwa Ibom North West/PDP) is the Senate Minority Leader. “This government is a joke,” Mr. Ikiddeh said of the Buhari administration, apparently referring to the government handling of its war against corruption. Mr. Fani-Kayode, alongside former Minister of Finance, Nenadi Usman, is standing corruption trial for allegedly diverting N4.6 billion belonging to the federal government for political and personal use. After spending days in prison

Nigerian Man Killed In Togo For Abandoning Is Togo Girl Friend (PHOTOS)

Image
Ok this grievous atrocity happened in Togo , Lome two days ago. This man is a Nigerian businessman in that country and was having a relationship with the lady in the picture and pregnancy resulted . He denied the pregnancy and call off the relationship . He took back the motor-cycle he bought for her when the relationship was still rosy . She couldn't take it , she mobilized her family members plus her kinsmen and they ambush the Nigerian , beat , stoned and burn him to death. .... My take : 1. If you are living in a foreign country please play by their rules in everything or stay alone . 2.If you impregnate a woman please try and take responsibility or wait till the child is born before you take a position after DNA proofing. 3. When you are in a relationship with a woman or a man , anything you give out should not be taken back . It was given with love and so shall it be . I call on the Nigerian government to press for redress an

Nigeria’s presidential jets are available for hire – Odigie-Oyegun

Image
In this interview with JOHN ALECHENU, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, speaks about the challenges of managing the nation, President Buhari’s policies and other national issues. Excerpts The opposition Peoples Democratic Party has accused your party of being responsible for its leadership crisis. How do you respond to this? All I can say is that they cannot eat their cake and have it. When their factional chairman left us, they were celebrating, they were happy saying oh, we’ve got a big fish. Now that they see the kind of man he is, they are crying wolf. We have nothing to do with the travails of the PDP because in reality; we want a virile opposition. We want an opposition that is responsible, that has ideas to contribute. They have failed to do this so far. So, it is not of any value to us that they are heating up and that they are losing the little bit of the sense of direction they had left. They are just looking for a scape
