Image
The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the nomination of Justice Mahmud Mohammed as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). The confirmation was in line with Section 231(1) of the 1999 Constitution as amended. Before Mohammed was asked to “take a bow and go” Senators drilled Mohammed in a question and answer session. Mohammed described prosecutors as major clogs in the wheel of judicial system in the country. He also said that contrary to insinuations, nothing in the constitution stops the President from appointing the CJN from body of legal practitioners in the country. The CJN designate opposed the creation of special courts to deal with special cases like corruption. He noted that with the right frame of mind and the will to prosecute, no corruption case would last more than one week. He insisted that the problem is not with the courts but with the personnel in the courts. He said, “Honestly I do not support the creation of special courts specifically to deal wi

Is this kind of study that causes men to be d**king around *hiss* lol From  SMH.com "Men who have sex with more than 20 women during the course of their lifetimes are less likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer, new research shows. But for homosexuals who have had sex with at least 20 men and virgins, the risk of being diagnosed is doubled, the researchers from the University of Montreal have found. Compared with men who have had just one sexual partner, men who have slept with 20 or more women have a 28 per cent lower risk of being diagnosed, and are 19 per cent less likely to develop the most aggressive form of prostate cancer. SEE Three Players Keshi should drop for South Africa Clash

Image
Despite their victory over the Republic of Congo, Nigeria were unconvincing in Pointe-Noire - might the Big Boss therefore think about making some changes to his starting XI? FEATURE By James Ezimoha Nigeria secured the desired result against the Republic of Congo in Pointe-Noire thanks to goals from Ikechukwu Uche and Aaron Samuel . However, it could have all been a different story had the likes of Fode Dore and Thievy Bifouma, who repeatedly split the Super Eagles' defence open, had a bit of luck and composure in front of goal. At the end of the day, the result is by far the most important announcement of a football match, but it would be unwise for Stephen Keshi to again rely on luck to see off South Africa, who, despite having secured qualification, have a score to settle with Nigeria. In this feature we look at three players who should be replaced from the XI that started against the Republic of Congo due to their unconvincing performance in the game. Azubuike Egwuekwe Ke

Meet Nigerian Man Arrested After Impersonating Montana Attorney General In Online Dating Scam

Image
A Nigerian resident faces charges that he set up an online dating profile using a photo of Montana's attorney general and falsified stories about overseas business problems to scam several women. Felony charges against Kazeem Owonla were filed last month in Indiana, where one woman reported sending more than $100,000 to a man who represented himself as John Tony Hagan, an electrical engineer who was working in Egypt. Owonla, 44, was arrested Wednesday when he got off an airplane in Atlanta and waived extradition to Indiana Thursday during a hearing in Clayton County Magistrate Court. Clayton County records did not indicate if Owonla has an attorney. His bond in Indiana is set at $150,000 cash, enough to cover the women's losses, Kosciusko County prosecutors said. The Indiana woman who first complained said she met "Hagan" online in January 2014 and by the next month he was asking her for money. The woman said Hagen told her he needed money to rep
