The leadership of the Believers Love World popularly known as Christ Embassy, has said that only prayers can stop the doomsday predictions of violence and bloodbath over the 2015 general elections. It said though the predictions were based on projections and study of utterances by politicians within the polity, the power to change such predictions into positive development belongs to religious groups through prayers to God. The Christ Embassy in Bayelsa State led by Pastor George Bunana, while unveiling activities for the 2014 Reach-Out campaign in Yenagoa, said the annual reach-out campaign by the church was to encourage the culture of prayer and use the word of God to heal Nigeria of security and health infirmities. According to him, the 2014 edition of the Reach Out campaign will witness the reaching out to millions of people with life-transforming word of God as contained in the Rhapsody of Realities and bring hope to the lost, desperate and the dying in the world.

19 year old Russian woman Alyona Ipatova (pictred left) who left her five-month-old baby to starve to death while she went out partying for two weeks has been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years' hard labour.
