Ballot papers meant for use in Nigeria’s upcoming general elections have been found “unsecured” in the UK, according to Sahara Reporters . The papers were reportedly found on the premises of  Panther Printing Services , a local printing press in the Essex area of London. The election materials, which include ballot papers for the presidential polls, were due in Nigeria earlier this week, before Saturday, February 14, the original date set aside for the polls. The contract to print the papers was reportedly awarded to a Nigerian firm named  Cemoz International Limited  which then subsequently contracted the job out to printers in London. Ballot papers for several South-West states were found at the location but a staff of Panther Printing Services reportedly told Sahara Reporters  that the company was only contracted to print papers for Jigawa State. Prof Charles Ayo, the vice-chancellor of Covenant University in Ota, Ogun state, has said that the school is likely to reduce its tuition fees in a bid to attract more students who will want to benefit from the quality education it offers.  Addressing a news conference on Friday over the school’s recent Webometrics ranking as the first in Nigeria and West Africa and the 15th in Africa, he said even though there is no actual date for the likely review yet, the initiative would make admission into the school more affordable and competitive. He explained that apart from the fact that the chancellor of the school, Dr David Oyedepo, had already thought about it, the school management also had plans to increase its internally generated revenue so as to augment its income, which would make the review easier. On Saturday, former President Olusegun Obasanjo warned President Goodluck Jonathan of the possible dire consequences of delaying the elections. Obasanjo spoke to journalists at his Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta mansion in Ogun State. He opined on the state of the nation and gave his opinion on the elections postponement. He drew parallels between President Jonathan and the former Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) leader Laurent Gbagbo. Gbagbo, Obasanjo said, kept shifting the election date in his country until he was sure of winning. Popular Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku, who is known for playing criminal roles in Nigerian movies, has revealed he tested positive for HIV. The Nollywood actor also revealed how he deliberately infected his wife with the deadly disease.  Pulse  reports that the actor, now a born-again Christian, who is based in Ghana, talked in an interview about how he went to Zambia for six months in April 2011 without his wife and two kids, to take part in plays teaching about HIV and AIDS. Boko Haram militants this morning attacked a military formation in Dadikowa town in Gombe state. The sect members reportedly arrived the town at about 6am today in 36 Hilux buses and a dozen motorcycles and attacked soldiers at the security checkpoints of the town. They then forced their way into the town and burnt the quarter guard of the 301 Artillery Regiment. They bugled some shops and also burnt down public institutions including the police station in the town. The Nigerian military has launched airstrikes on areas the sect members are currently attacking. The state government has imposed a 24hr curfew in the state.
