The spiritual leader of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Olumba Olumba Obu, has predicted that President Buhari will complete not only his first but second term in office despite attempts by certain individuals who are not happy with his stance on corruption, to eliminate him. Olumba Olumba stated this while addressing a crowd of guests and adherents in Calabar, Cross River State, during an international youth event with the theme ‘Respecting Authorities and Higher Powers’. "For now, which leader in Nigeria would people be afraid of, to the extent of coming up by themselves to return stolen money?"  he asked. "I can assure that despite the millions of money people are spending, including going diabolical, to kill the president, they will not succeed and he will not be harmed. He will certainly complete his eight years in office. Buhari has a special task to accomplish in Nigeria at these times," he added.

Earlier today, former President Olusegun Obasanjo visited President Muhammadu Buhari  behind closed-doors   at the presidential villa Abuja. 28 year old housewife sentenced to death by hanging in Delta for stabbing husband to death and setting him ablaze

A 28 year-old housewife, Mary Attah has been condemned to death by hanging by an Effurun High Court for stabbing her Pastor husband, Darlington Attah, with a kitchen knife and setting him ablaze. Prosecution from the Delta State Ministry of Justice had told the Court that the accused who was married to Darlington Attah (now deceased) with four children, on or about the 6th day of July, 2012 at Effurun within the Effurun Judicial Division did attack her husband with a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the neck as a result of an alleged phone call from the husband’s lover. The Court was further told that the accused was infuriated by the telephone call at a time they were having a ‘nice time’ which prompted her to rush to the kitchen, collected the knife and armed herself with grounded pepper which she rubbed on her husband’s face to immobilize him before stabbing him in the neck. Islamic clerics forced Buhari to cancel a N10b "Film Village" named after him in Kano

The Federal Government has shelved plans to build a world-class and ulta-modern film village in Kano following criticisms made by Muslim clerics who say it will promote immorality. Some Muslim social media users also opposed the move using the hashtags #FilmVillage or #ImmoralityVillage #WeSayNoToFilmVillageInKano, for same 'immorality' reason. The Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA) and other militant groups have asked indigenes of South-East and South-South all over Nigeria to immediately come back home. Specifically, they called on former President Goodluck Jonathan; elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark; King Alfred Diete Spiff; Ankio Briggs; Joseph Eva; Patrick Fufein, Pastor Good, past and present military personnel from the Niger Delta region, present senators and members of the Houses of Representatives to come to Kaiama for the official declaration of the Niger Delta Republic on August 1. In a statement issued on Sunday, July 24, General Edmos Ayayeibo, the group’s spokesman, reiterated the earlier order that Northerners and South Westerners should vacate the South-South before August 1. Scam: Nigerian man nabbed in India for selling seeds that cure AIDS

The Local Crime Branch, LCB, Thane Rural in India has arrested a Nigerian national, Uzoma Eleazar, for attempting to sell seeds for the cure of AIDS in an online scam. The Hindu reports that Eleazar was nabbed on Sunday alongside three accomplices for cheating a local resident at Naya Nagar, Mira Road, one Anil Mathur of nearly Rs. 23 lakh in an online scam. They met on the social media and developed a friendship, after which, Eleazar offered Mathur a dealership in seeds that he claimed he used to produce expensive medicines in Nigeria. The victim fell for it and had paid nearly Rs. 23 lakh since June 21 before his arrest. According to an Assistant Police Inspector, API Prafull Wagh, “The Nigerian offered a dealership for special seeds that grow only in Nigeria, which he claimed can cure AIDS. “Eleazar managed to sell seeds in 400-gram packets for Rs. 1 lakh each. “The seeds turned out to be ‘Bitter Kola’ (botanical name: Garcinia kola), whic
