A Federal High Court sitting in Umuahia, Abia State, has struck out the suit filed before it by Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba against All Progressives Grand Alliance and others over the governorship ticket of the party in the last April elections, saying it lacked merit. Ufomba had dragged APGA to court, claiming that he was the authentic governorship candidate of the party in Abia State and not Dr. Alex Otti, who contested the election on the party’s ticket. In the suit, Ufomba argued that Chief Victor Umeh, the then national chairman of the party, was not the chairman and that the primary elections conducted by Umeh leadership and monitored by INEC was illegal. Joined in the suit were APGA, Dr. Alex Otti, Chief Victor Umeh and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
