Update: See the graphic photo of the head & decapitated body of the schoolboy killed in Ikorodu

Earlier today it was reported that a schoolboy whose body and decapitated head was found inside a sack carried by a man in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The new update reveals that they were actually two men who were caught with the sack.  The 7-year-old schoolboy who allegedly went missing yesterday was found dead, covered with charcoal and foam inside the sack. New Niger Delta group emerges and demands to break away from Nigeria

Like the Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB, a new group from Niger Delta has demanded that it gains independence from Nigeria. The group named 'Region of the Niger Delta' (Rondel) has demanded the sovereignty of the region. US Govt to Train 16 EFCC Staff on Effective Communication

Sixteen staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, would be trained in the art of effective communication, as part of efforts by the United States Government, to assist the anti-graft agency in taking its anti-corruption crusade to the grassroots. At the formal launch of the project tagged, "Effective Communication and Public Relations for Nigeria Law Enforcement Agencies", in Abuja, on June 6, 2017, Aruna Amirthanayagam, Counsellor, Public Affairs of the US Mission to Nigeria, noted that the project was expected to strengthen criminal justice law in the country. $5.8bn loan: S-East states included in rail projects— Amaechi

Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, yesterday, debunked the allegation of non-inclusion of South-East states in the rail line projects of the railway networks across the country for which $5.8 billion loan is being sought from China. Amaechi, who spoke during the hearing organised by the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign debts also explained the technicalities of the rail-line project before the loan request from the China Exim Bank can get the approval of the lawmakers. The minister further explained that former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan had already applied for the loan while the present administration wants to implement it.
