ANAMBRA ELECTION: INEC Reschedules Election In 65 Polling Units
In another evidence that today’s governorship election in Anambra State was marred by extensive irregularities, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced this evening that it has rescheduled voting in 65 wards in the town of Obosi till tomorrow (Sunday). Obosi is in Idemili North local government area of the state till tomorrow (Sunday). The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Anambra, Chukwuemeka Onukogu, made this known in a statement released to journalists in Awka, the Anambra State capital. Mr. Onukogu, a retired professor, said the rescheduled election will hold tomorrow at the Obosi registration area, ward 07, between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. “We are sorry for any inconveniences experienced,” said the INEC official.
