Multiple gunmen stormed the Canadian Parliament complex and the National War Memorial in Ottawa around 10am this morning Wednesday October 22nd and started shooting at people. One soldier was killed (at the Canadian war memorial). According to eye witnesses, a gunman came down from a car, walked up to the soldier and shot him dead. One of the shooters was later killed by police. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper had to be evacuated from the government building, which is currently on lock down. Schools and the US embassy are also on lock down in Ottawa. No one/group has claimed responsibility for what's going on there right now. A former Catholic high school gym teacher was arrested Monday on charges she repeatedly had sex with a 16-year-old male student — including on the Staten Island campus, law enforcement sources told The New York Post . Megan Mahoney, 24, was charged with 30 counts of statutory rape for a series of trysts that authorities say took place between Oct. 31, 2013, and Jan. 9. Mahoney romped with the teen “on numerous occasions, that is at least two times per week during the period,” court papers claim. Five Lance Corporals of the Nigerian army were yesterday October 21st arraigned before a military court at the Army Headquarters Garrison, Mogadishu cantonment in Abuja over a two count charge of conspiracy to commit mutiny and mutiny. Daily Trust reports that the soldiers are alleged to have committed the offenses in October 2013 after shooting into the air when they received the news of the death of some of their colleagues who were killed by Boko Haram in the North Eastern part of Nigeria. When the two count charge was read to the soldiers, they all pleaded not guilty. The soldiers are part of 59 soldiers of the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, Borno state, who are standing trial for various offenses ranging from insubordination, mutiny and others.
