Charles Novia was present at the President daughter's wedding yesterday, and he decided to share with us what he saw that happened behind the scene. Read it below. I just attended the wedding reception of President's Jonathan's daughter, Faith and her husband, Godswill. I am sure most of you saw it live on television but I just might write a behind-the-scene review of what happened in the hall which you could not see. I might write that later. Let me just give a slice of it; all these big men you guys see in power and out of it are all hustlers like you and me!

President Goodluck Jonathan may declare his second term ambition after the midterm convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The convention is slated for May 17 in Abuja. It is expected to ratify the appointment of Alhaji Adamu Muazu as PDP National Chairman , a constitutional requirement that would also clear the way for full campaign for the 2015 general election. Muazu was appointed in January by the NEC and his appointment is constitutionally required to be approved by the convention.

A Nigerian man arrested after tweeting from the scene of a deadly jailbreak has been released after nearly two weeks in custody, his family says. Yusuf Siyaka Onimisi - also referred to as Isiaka Yusuf - disappeared last month shortly after sharing pictures of the attack on Twitter. Twenty-one people were killed during the attempted breakout in Abuja. His brother confirmed his release to AFP, but there has been no direct word from Mr Onimisi himself. "I spoke with him earlier today (Saturday) and our mum is with him in Abuja," Sanusi Onimisi told Agence France-Presse. "I thank all Nigerians, the media and human rights organisations within and outside the country who stood to fight for the release of my brother."

The Enugu State Police Command has discovered a gun manufacturing factory located at Ihuoha-Amansiodo Oghe in Ezeagu Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the factory was discovered last Friday, through information received from members of the public. Amaraizu disclosed that the place was run by an operator identified as Mr. Ejike Eze. The PPRO, however, said Eze, who is now at large, relocated some of the arms when he got wind of police’s move to search the place.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Saturday said marriages contracted through social media may not last. He said, “If you marry the modern way like on Facebook, you may likely divorce the modern way. Marry traditionally and involve God.” Adeboye gave the warning in a sermon he preached on at the wedding of President Goodluck Jonathan’s foster daughter, Faith, and her husband, Godswill, in Abuja. Adeboye also stated that the success or failure of any marriage rests on the husband who is the head and therefore advised the groom to ensure that the marriage succeeded.

Chika Ike just got a massive diamond ring as a gift from her boo, who I hear is not Nigerian. She showed off the ring on her instagram page today. I hear it is not an engagement ring just a friendship ring. If this is just a friendship ring, imagine what an engagement ring will look like.
