The PDP today conducted a screening exercise for President Jonathan at the party secretariat in Abuja. According to the party leadership, the screening process was necessary in order to comply with the processes leading to the primaries and ratification of political aspirants of the party. At the end of the exercise, President Jonathan was handed a certificate of clearance.  Meanwhile Abdujalil Balewa, the son of the late Nigerian Prime Minister, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, who was also at the party secretariat for the presidential screening announced he was stepping down.

This randy man got  four female prison officials pregnant while serving   a 20 year jail sentence for  attempted murder inside a Baltimore City Detention Centre.   Tavon White, known as 'Kingpin' ran a   vast drugs smuggling business from inside the prison, CBS Baltimore reports.   Prosecutors say he made $10,000 to $20,000 a week smuggling drugs and cell phones into the prison and befriended the female guards who helped to make his business easy. He rewarded them with sex and got 4 pregnant. Two of the women even tattooed his name on their body. Five officers of the corrupt prison, Tavon & two other inmates are now facing charges of conspiracy, drug distribution and money laundering.

Nigerian prosecutors opened their case on Wednesday against a 14-year-old girl accused of murdering her 35-year-old husband, with testimony from a child allegedly sent to buy the murder weapon: rat poison. Wasila Tasi’u, from a poor, rural family ,could face the death penalty if convicted in a case that has outraged rights activists who say a girl who married a man more than twice her age should be treated as a victim, not a criminal. According to  Vanguard , Prosecutor Lamido Abba Soron-Dinki’s first witness was a seven-year-old girl identified as Hamziyya, who was living in the same house as Tasi’u and her husband Umar Sani, when the child-bride allegedly laced his food with rat poison. Hamziyya was identified as the sister of Sani’s “co-wife”, referring to a woman the deceased farmer had married previously.The seven-year-old testified that Tasi’u gave her 80 naira ($0.45, 0.36 euros) to buy rat poison from a local shop on April 5, the day Sani died.

House Committee Members this afternoon walked out on the Inspector general of police, Sulaiman Abba, after he refused to address Speaker Aminu Tambuwal properly when he appeared before the House of Representatives Police Committee today after several days of ignoring their invitation According to  Sahara Reporters ; while trying to explain why his men invaded the National Assembly last week, the IGP said 'they had credible intelligence that some thugs had planned on causing mayhem at the resumed sitting of the house."
