There was anxiety at the arrival floor of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Monday as a passenger on queue at the Port Health Unit of the terminal building slumped and died. He slumped while waiting to collect his vaccination and inoculation certificate otherwise known as “Yellow Card.” The passenger identified as a Nigerian was said to be on his way to Ghana for medical treatment. The passenger’s death coincided with the visit of the new Aviation Minister, Chief Osita Chidoka , who inspected facilities at both the domestic and international terminals of the airport. It was the minister’s maiden visit to Lagos to inspect airport facilities and engage stakeholders. According to sources at the airport, the passenger arrived Lagos on August 8 for business transactions and took ill. The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Kano has arrested a man suspected to be the master trainer of Boko Haram female suicide bombers with 16 females who were reportedly being trained for suicide operations, Daily Trust, gathered from security sources. It was gathered that the man identified as Ibrahim Ibrahim was arrested in Dala LGA of Kano during a raid by the Joint Task Force Thursday. Daily Trust gathered that the females were being trained to carry out suicide bombings when the JTF raided their training ground and arrested them and their trainer. The just concluded Sallah celebration was marred in the state as female suicide bombers struck at five different locations. 29 year old British woman Sarah Ward gave birth to four children in a space of nine months after falling pregnant with triplets just weeks after she gave birth to her first child. Her son Freddie was only nine months old when she and her partner Benn Smith, were shocked to discover they had triplets on the way. They later welcomed two boys - Stanley and Reggie and a girl, Daisy. A horrifying picture of a young boy holding a decapitated head aloft has been posted to Twitter. He is believed to be the Sydney-raised son of Khaled Sharrouf, an Australian who fled the country last year to fight in Syria as an Islamic State fighter, News Corp reported. The image was posted with the caption: “That’s my boy.” Further pictures from the same twitter account (which has since been closed) show Sharrouf in camouflage fatigues, posing with his three sons with the flag of the Islamic State behind them. Sharrouf, who is wanted on terrorism charges in Australia is also seen holding a decapitated head in some images. The Sydney Morning Herald  writes Sharrouf escaped to the Middle East on his brother’s passport and has demanded the release of 12 Muslim prisoners. Three sons of El-Zakzaky murdered by Nigerian troops during a peaceful procession in Zaria More than 35 Shiites, including the sheik’s three sons, were killed by soldiers in a series of attacks the sect said were unprovoked and unjustified. The police in Ebonyi have arrested a young man on allegations of murder and necrophilia. The 20-year-old, identified simply as  Chukwuma , is said to have taken the lives of 3 women after which he had sex with the corpses. Details of the crime were made known by the  Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Chris Anyanwu . He said: “We nabbed him after placing surveillance at a particular farm, where he usually waylays women who are going to farm or coming back from farm. We got the information that he had killed three women in the same way. He has the habit of waylaying the women on lonely bush path. Whenever a woman passes through the place he pounces on her and strangles her to death and has sex with the dead body. “One of these women’s name is Anyigor from the same village. On July 15, she went to farm at a place called Okwulike but never returned. Then, when he was later arrested, he (the suspect) confessed that he was hanging around that ...

The number of confirmed Ebola cases in Nigeria has risen to 10 after a nurse tested positive to the virus. This was revealed by the  Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu who said: “The 10th case actually was one of the nurses who also had primary contact with the index case. When he (Sawyer) got ill, we then brought her into isolation,” the minister told a news conference in Abuja. “We just tested her over the weekend. So, that’s what made it 10. So, between Friday and today we had one additional case. That brings it to 10 and the 10 includes the index case.” The Minister said that the nurse is undergoing treatment while her husband is currently under surveillance. Mr. Patrick Sawyer, a Liberian-American , came into  Lagos with the virus and died on  July 25  at the  First Consultant Hospital  in  Obalende .

A Baptist pastor, Jerald “Jerry” Hill has been arrested and slapped with charges of requesting sex with an animal. According to news reports, the 56-year-old pastor was arrested by an undercover investigator who was tipped by an advertisement posted on Craiglist, a classified advertisements website; the officer had offered a dog and arranged a meeting point. Hill, the president and chief executive officer of the Windermere Baptist Conference Centre in Missouri, has been released on bail on a $1,000 bond. Due to the pastor’s disgraceful act, the Windermere board members are considering choosing a new executive to replace Jerry Hill.

Last week, Boko Haram men took over four towns in Borno and Yobe states after a gun battle with  military men guarding the areas.The four towns they seized are; Gwoza in Borno state and  Buni Yadi, Buni Gari and Goniri, all in Gujba local government area of Yobe State. Not only did they overwhelm the Nigerian soldiers deployed to guard the towns, they also killed at least 100 residents, including the brother of Emir of Gwosa and the chief Imam of Gwoza's major Mosque. On Friday August 8th, a man identified as Kola allegedly strangled his wife to death just a day after she gave birth to their twins and disappeared with the children (read  here ). His corpse has been found. According to a statement signed by the Ekiti State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Victor Babayemi, Kola's body was dumped in a canal at Oke Ila area in Ado Ekiti, after being killed by unknown persons. The statement also said the twins are yet to be found. "Kola was found murdered and dumped in a canal at Oke Ila in Ado-Ekiti but the twins are yet to be found. Investigation is in top gear to find the twins as well as the killers of the couple." Babayemi said The police suspect Kola may have been killed by those he sold the twins to so they can avoid being traced by the police...but maybe they killed the mother, father and took the twins away? The state police has promised to do everything within their power to bring those behind the hideous crime...

Philip Katongu (pictured above) from Wamba, Nasarawa State has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death,  Punch  reports. According to reports, Katongu stabbed his wife to death in a street at Oniru Estate, Maroko, Lagos, where they lived. Police say she was stabbed at least three times. After he was arrested by operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba, Lagos, Katongu, 45, claimed he killed her because she infected him with HIV and then wanted to leave him for another man. He explained: "I married Justina, my second wife in December 2010. I later learnt that she had given birth to two girls for a man. The girls died of AIDS. However, when we first met, she did not tell me all these. I explained to her that I have a wife with children and I wanted to marry her too.
