Wife sets husband on fire for molesting her 7 year old daughter

Is she the mother of the year or what? You sexually assault a 7 year old girl and you deserve to be set on fire... Wxyz.com   reports A man who was badly burned after his wife allegedly set him on fire is now facing sex crime charges involving his 7-year-old stepdaughter. Police in Washington state said Tatanysha Hedman, 40, doused her sleeping husband in gasoline before setting him on fire. Hedman, 40, was arrested and told police she set her husband, Vincent Phillips, 52, on fire because he hurt her 7-year-old daughter, who is his stepdaughter. She said she did it because shooting him "was too nice,"  Phillips is hospitalized and faces first-degree child molestation charges. Hedman remains in jail, facing assault and arson charges. Wonder why she's still in jail...she was protecting her child and other children this alleged paedophile would have molested. Amnesty International releases Gruesome Video Implicating Nigerian Military + Defence issues Statement

In the video released today, the military is recorded on camera abusing civilians who are believed to be suspected members of the Islamist militant sect. The video was obtained by numerous sources during a visit by a rep for Amnesty International. Robbery suspects narrates how his brother recruited him into robbery

20-year-old Morgan Udama, a member of a 4-man robbery gang arrested yesterday August 4th by police officers attached to Okota Isolo Police Station in Lagos, while confessing, said he was recruited into criminal life by his own older brother, Oche, who is the leader of the robbery gang. Photo on the left is an alleged female suicide bomber but I can’t verify that she’s any of the ones that blew herself up during an attack in Kano last week….and the pic on the right is one of the missing Chibok girls. You know how some sources have fingered Chibok girls as the suicide bombers? (read  here ) though the Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mr. Mike Omeri, has denied the girls involvement in the attacks….but it makes you wonder…the resemblance is strong but hopefully they are two totally different women.

1 Killed As Earthquake hits Johannesburg, South Africa

A 5.3 earthquake this morning August 5th shook buildings in Johannesburg and surrounding areas.. killing one person and injuring at least 3 people. The tremor which lasted just one minute reportedly broke glasses, cracked walls and aftershocks were felt by many. According to Werner Vermaak, a spokesman for emergency responders, at least one person was killed and three people injured. The man was reportedly killed when a wall of a disused mining building fell on him in the Orkney area of Johannesburg, which is where the quake was centred. The other three people were hurt when the quake damaged a training center at a mine, said Phoka Sefali, a receptionist at a hospital in Orkney. "The roof fell on them, but they haven't got serious injuries," he told Associated Press. The quake was also felt in Pretoria and Hartbeespoort, a nearby resort town.

The Federal Government on Monday in Abuja inaugurated a six-man Working Group to carry out research on the treatment of Ebola virus. The Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, inaugurated the committee co-chaired by Prof. Karniyus Gamanie, Director-General, National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRID), Abuja. The other co-chair is the Director-General of Nigerian Institute for Medical Research, Prof Innocent Ujah. Mr. Chukwu said there was no known cure for the Ebola infection nationwide at present, adding that there was “no scientific evidence’’ that eating `bitter kola’, could cure Ebola infection. The minister was referring to media reports that suggested bitter kola could cure Ebola infection based on a research conducted by a Pharmacognosist and former Chairman of INEC, Prof. Maurice Iwu. A dozen men were seized and stripped naked before they were forced to undergo circumcisions in western Kenya as part of a 'ceremony', it has been reported. The 12 men, from the Luo, Turkana, Iteso and Luhyia communities, were reportedly subjected to the procedure after their wives revealed they had not had it done previously. A number of women in the town of Moi's Bridge, in western Kenya, where the incident took place, said they were pleased the men went through the procedure because it made them cleaner and perform better in bed. According to Kenyan radio station West FM, the men who underwent the procedure had either previously avoided having it done or had come from a Luhyia sub-tribe which did not carry it out. A crowd reportedly sung circumcision songs as they gathered the men up before taking them to a nearby medical centre where the operations were carried out. Boko Haram: Military commits 600 extra-judicial killings, says Amnesty

The Amnesty International yesterday implicated the Nigerian military in the extra-judicial killing of over 600 in the North-East, especially Maiduguri and Bama. The AI also said it is in possession of video footage, images and testimonies to back up its claim. The organization also indicted the military for the killing of 33 people, including the children of a Shiite cleric, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, during a procession some days ago in Zaria. It demanded impartial and independent probe of extra-judicial executions in the country. But the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) yesterday faulted the findings of the AI. The AI however gave its verdict in a statement in Abuja on what appeared about a four-month survey of the North East. A 38 year-old woman, Charity Atoe has called on the police to help her unravel the location of a woman whom she alleged eloped with funds donated for the surgery of her three years old son, Timothy, who was born without genitals. Charity who gave the name of the woman as Blessing Asatu said the total money donated was about N5m. She was at the premises of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists to narrate her story. Charity said doctors at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital demanded for N900,000 to perform a corrective surgery and that efforts to raise the money in Edo state failed which made her to go to Lagos State to seek for help. “Captain Sule was killed in a battle launched by Boko Haram fighters against our troops between Saturday and Sunday,” said his military friend who is based in the Ikom Barracks in Cross River State. Insurgents belonging to the dreaded Islamist group, Boko Haram, have killed Captain Benjamin Sule, a Nigerian army officer who just wedded eight months ago. A close military friend of the late Captain Sule told SaharaReporters that Boko Haram gunmen killed the young, newly wed officer in an attack on a military contingent over the weekend. “Captain Sule was killed in a battle launched by Boko Haram fighters against our troops between Saturday and Sunday,” said his military friend who is based in the Ikom Barracks in Cross River State. The officer, who provided wedding photos of Captain Sule, added that he and other friends of the deceased officer “received the news with utmost shock. He was killed between Saturday and Sunday, but we only got the information today [Monday].”
