The Uber driver who went viral this week for keeping his cool during a hellacious ride with a Bronx woman who threatened to accuse him of rape has opened up about the incident in a new video. Read HERE The man, whose name is still a mystery, posted the clip on Youtube Friday, saying Uber had gifted him with a lifetime supply of phone chargers after the enraged passenger complained of him not having one. “I bet I will never have a problem for not having a charger anymore,” the driver said, smiling as he pours out his new goodies. “You can see over here all kinds of chargers, man. iPhone, Samsung, auxiliary cords … everything.” Uber also apparently wants to give him a bonus to make things right. “The company was going to give me some type amount of money,” he said, declining to reveal the sum. Marvis has just been evicted from the Big Brother Naija house. She was evicted at the reality TV’s show finale on Sunday, making her the fourth runner-up. Her eviction was announced by show host, Ebuka. She made it to Sunday’s finale alongside TBoss, Bisola, Debie Rise and Efe, the last man standing, spending 11 weeks in the house.

Kemen might have been disqualified from the Big Brother Naija show but it appears the sponsors have moved on and forgiven him. He and other evicted housemates are currently present at the live screening of the finale tonight.  Bisola, TBoss, Efe, Debie-Rise and Marvis will be leaving the house tonight after spending over 2 months indoors, successfully playing the game. The Civil Society Network Against Corruption (CSNAC) has urged the Commissioner of Police, Special Fraud Unit (SFU), to commence investigation into an alleged forgery and fraud in the scandal relating to Senator Dino Melaye's graduation from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In a petition forwarded to the SFU of the police with a copy made available to the media, CSNAC's chairman, Mr. Olanrewaju Suraju, said if the scandal is not thoroughly investigated, it is capable of sending a bad impression about the efficiency of the nation's institutions. The first deposit of N900,000 was deposited on July 22, 2015, followed by a smaller deposit of N200,000k on September 2, 2016. A week later on September 14, while she was visiting Nigeria, Mr. Suleman deposited N1million into her account. The Police in Waterval outside Makhado, South Africa have arrested a 27-year-old man for raping a 25-year-old woman. It is alleged that the victim was sleeping in the early hours of Saturday, April 8th, when the suspect broke into her home and entered her room where he threatened her and raped her. After the ordeal, the suspect fell asleep, the victim escaped and called the Police.  The Police reacted swiftly and found the suspect still asleep and arrested him. The suspect will appear before the Waterval Magistrate's Court on  Monday, 10 April 2017  facing charges of housebreaking and rape. Police investigations are still continuing.

Four people were killed in a four-alarm fire which broke out at an Oakland apartment building in 2551 San Pablo Ave, Oakland on Monday, March 27th. Four others were taken to the hospital for treatment, including two children. One of the victims has been identified as a 36-year-old Nigerian man, who stayed in Room 223. A District of Columbia cop has been arrested for armed robbery, assault, prostitution, and several sexual offenses after paying a 15-year-old girl for sex and then stealing the money back at gunpoint afterward. The officer, Chukwuemeka Ekwonna, had been with the D.C. Metropolitan Police for a little over a year. According to police reports, Ekwonna, 27, met the girl in January on the app Tagged and she agreed to meet him in his car on Jan 9, for sex in exchange for $80. She said she met Ekwonna in the Glen Burnie area of northern Anne Arundel County, near Baltimore-Washington International Marshall Airport south of Baltimore. After paying her the $80, Ekwonna sex with the minor in his car, but after having sex with her, he allegedly threatened her with a gun and demanded she give his money back, which she did and fled.
