T he leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has warned members against giving money to Nigeria Police for bail. Biafra: Nigerian killed in India over argument on secession

A Nigerian simply identified as N. Chigozie, has been killed in India after reportedly being involved in an argument about Biafra. His body was found at Hennur, North-East of Bengaluru, in the early hours of Monday. Although Chigozie was said to have died after a motorcycle crash but his brother, simply identified as Nonso, said he was murdered. On Sunday, when Chigozie, Nonso and four other Nigerians partied at an African Kitchen restaurant at a place called Byrathi, a disagreement was said to have ensued about food. “The six revellers quarrelled over sharing food and assaulted each other. Nieskho (Nonso) went to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries and Chigozie followed him on bike. While returning from the hospital, Chigozie died,” the police said. “It seems to be an accidental death. Buhari orders connection of rails to 36 states, Abuja

T he Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered him and the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, to connect the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by rail. Amaechi made the revelation during the 15th National Council on Transportation, NCT, in Sokoto. He said, “The President called two of us, myself and my colleague in the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; and told me specifically that I must ensure that the 36 states including Abuja are connected by rail”. He added that the ongoing rail projects in the country would create employment opportunity for the teeming youths. T he war of words between the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and the founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB, Ralph Uwazuruike, has taken a new dimension with the latter alleging that the former was given a house abroad by the Federal government when he started his struggle for Biafra in the UK some years ago. In an interview with The Interview magazine, Uwazurike, accused Kanu of been compromised in his struggle for Biafra as he was employed by the President Buhari-led government to destroy the struggle for Biafra.  “Apparently they saw Nnamdi Kanu as someone of high value for use.
