Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has called for the immediate suspension of the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for alleged anti -party activities. Information reaching us now have it in authority that Nollywood actor who recently turned a Barrister, Kenneth Okonkwo, has backed out of PDP primary slated for December 6, 2014 as the state chapter of the PDP jettisons zoning in Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency. This new step was taken following the Nsukka/ Igboeze South stakeholders meeting at the Governor's lodge on December 3, 2014 where the Governor of Enugu State openly endorsed the former chairman of the party, Vitta Abah who is from Nsukka East in contradiction to the zoning arrangement which ought to zone the House of Reps ticket to Nsukka west. The actor of Living in Bondage fame (Andy), who is from Nsukka west thus withdrew from the PDP primary election. He has however thanked all his fans, friends and family for their support during his campaign period.

Bill Cosby  is refuting claims made by a Southern California woman, who sued the comedian this past week alleging that he sexually assaulted her 40 years ago at the Playboy Mansion when she was just 15 years old. The embattled comic's lawyer  Marty Singer  filed papers, released to  Us Weekly  on Thursday, Dec. 4, claiming that the alleged victim  Judy Huth , now 56, attempted to extort Cosby nearly 10 years ago by selling the story to a tabloid. Huth's suit claimed that she and a 16-year-old friend were invited to Cosby's tennis club, where they had drinks. Afterward, he took her to the Mansion, where he allegedly forced her into "performing a sex act on himself without her consent." She claimed in her suit "severe and extreme emotional distress" following the alleged incident, realizing only years later the impact it had on her psychologically. Youths suspected to be political thugs on Friday in Abakaliki invaded Ebonyi Court complex and disrupted proceedings in the various courts. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), about 1,500 hoodlums besieged the court premises and attacked judges and other judicial workers. Witnesses said that the thugs invaded the judiciary at about 9 a.m. wielding different types of dangerous weapons and chanting war songs. Justice Aloy Nwankwo: chief judge of Ebonyi state “The activities of the hoodlums disrupted the court proceedings as judges, magistrates, other judicial workers and petty traders within the premises scamper for safety. Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Benin, Edo State toady convicted and sentenced one Emmanuel Sunday (alias Umoh Sunday Iyang, Iyang Samuel Chukwudi) to seven and half years imprisonment without an option of fine for obtaining money under false pretense. The convict was arraigned by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, EFCC, on March 19, 2014 on an 8-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence. He pleaded not guilty to the count charge. After diligent prosecution, Justice Ajoku found him guilty on the 5-count amended charge and sentenced him to thirty months imprisonment each of the counts. The court also ordered that the convict forfeit his two (2) phones to the Federal Government.
