Adegboyega's office There was confusion in the Bariga area of Lagos State last week when the decomposing corpse of an estate agent, simply identified as Adegboyega, was discovered by his wife and neighbours in his office. A resident told   PUNCH Metro  on the condition of anonymity that Adegboyega’s wife had shown up at her spouse’s office on Odugbuwa Street, Bariga, because he had not come home. She had reportedly told residents on Odugbuwa Street that Adegboyega failed to show up at his Mowe home as was his practice every weekend. It was learnt that due to the nature of his work, Adegboeyga used to pass the night at his office from Monday to Thursday and returned home every Friday for the weekend. His phone number was also said to have been unavailable throughout the weekend.

ABUJA—Indication emerged last night that the House of Representatives would not change its position on the $79 per barrel as the oil benchmark for the 2014 budget.   Vanguard revealed that the Presidency was upset with the resolve by a majority of the lawmakers to ensure that the $75 oil benchmark being proposed by the Federal Government did not see the light of the day. A Catholic priest in Imo State is being investigated by the police after reports that he was illegally in possession of weapons. The Reverend Father is said to be in charge of a parish in the Dikenafai environs of the Ideato South LGA of the state. He is said to have threatened members of his parish and endangered their lives with three unlicensed guns believed to be in his possession, without approval. As a result of the Reverend Father's action, many are now afraid of going to the church. Crime Guard reliably gathered that the guns which include one pump action riffle, one double-barrelled gun and a locally-made pistol allegedly belonging to the priest were recovered from his official residence by operatives of Special Armed Robbery Squad, SARS, Imo State Police Command acting on a tip off from some concerned parishioners.

This bride has many reasons to be grateful to God as she and her man almost got killed just minutes after their wedding, they narrowly escaped death in an auto crash while on their way from the wedding reception. The accident involving a NNPC tanker, a cargo truck and two saloon cars happened at about 4:45pm close to the Otedola bridge, Alausa, on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, last Saturday.  The bride and her husband were said to have jumped out of their car...
