Ex-Gov Orji Uzor Kalu's son, Michael Uzor Kalu, has developed a multiplayer game with recorded 10 million downloads worldwide within three weeks of its launching in United Kingdom . The game called Tuberush which is found on both Apple Store and google play with the link http://onelink.to/263cgd has several features that generates money for players. It has a multiplayer where two people can play at the same time. It also has a tournament where people can purchase coins and bet against each other and winner takes all. Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane who was released on bail yesterday and expected to appear in court on  June 23, 2017  for alleged theft and fraud has spoken. In a video obtained by Notjustok, Dammy Krane apologizes to his fans and maintains his innocence on the case saying, 'I do not do fraud, I do not partake in such activities. It just happened that the agent booked my flight with fraudulent cards'.

Akwa Ibom state government gives traders 31 days ultimatum to reduce prices of foodstuff

The Akwa Ibom State government has issued an order to all the traders in the state to immediately reduce the cost of foodstuff in the market within 31 days. The ordered was issued to the traders in a letter released by the Special Assistant to the state governor Udom Emmanuel on Traders’ Matters, Idoronyin Rapheal. The state government threatened to dissolve the leadership of any union that does not comply with the order within 31 days. In a radio programme recently, Idorenyin accused the traders of taking advantage of the scarcity of FOREX to inflate foodstuff prices. He also alleged that the market union leaders were to some extent responsible for the hike in food prices. “Garri is selling between N30,000 and N22,000 per bag in the state, but if you go outside Akwa Ibom garri it is sold between N18, 000 and N17, 000…. South East Dev. Commission Bill Passes Second Reading

Twenty-four hours after some northern groups issued an ultimatum to Igbo to vacate their region within the next three months, the much-anticipated South East Development Commission (SEDC) bill has passed second reading on the floor of the Senate. The debate on the bill was read by one of its sponsors, Senator Samuel Anyanwu. It was not debated, following an appeal made by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu that it should be passed in the spirit of fairness and justice. When the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, subjected to a voice vote, lawmakers gave a resounding ‘aye’. It was thereafter referred to the Senate committee on Establishment. The next phase is a public hearing where stakeholders and government officials are expected to make inputs before it will be passed into law. BREAKING: Nigerian Senate passes bill to protect whistle-blowers

The Senate has passed a bill to protect whistleblowers and witnesses directly involved in the prosecution of certain criminal cases. The bill, titled Witness Protection Programme (Establishment etc), SB 157, was passed on Thursday, following a report submitted by the committee on human rights, legal matters and judiciary chaired by David Umaru (APC-Niger). It was sponsored by Isiaka Adeleke, the Osun West APC Senator who died in April. When the bill scaled the second reading in October 2016, the Senate had resolved that it be merged with a similar proposal to protect persons making disclosures for public interest and other forms reappraisal, sponsored by Abiodun Olujimi, PDP-Ekiti. In his lead debate when the bill was being considered for second reading last year, Mr. Adeleke had said a law protecting witnesses was usually required in the prosecution of organised crimes like terrorism.
