According to a story by Yes! International magazine, actress Uche Iwuji's marriage to businessman Juwon Lawal has crashed about a year after the two tied the knot and just a few months after they welcomed a son. Uche denied the report when contacted by the magazine, but people close to the actress insist it's true. A source tells Yes! Magazine

A 19 year old Nigerian homeless man has been arrested in Italy for killing a 60 year old woman. Nwajiobi Donald (pictured above) strangled Caterina Susca with a bag over her head in her home in Bari, a southern Italian coastal city on Monday November 11th. Unknown to him, a neighbor took his pictures as he left Susca’s house after the murder. Donald confessed to the murder on November 14th after he was arrested by police who confronted him with numerous pieces of incriminating evidence collected in the hours immediately following the crime.

A number of news outlets have reported that Angola has "banned" Islam and started to dismantle mosques in a bold effort to stem the spread of Muslim extremism. Weekly French-language Moroccan newspaper La Nouvelle Tribune published an article on Friday sourcing "several" Angolan officials, including the Southwest African nation's minister of culture, Rosa Cruz, who reportedly offered the following remarks, which have been translated from French: "The process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice." According to reports from the Nigerian Eye, Nigerian university lecturers have agreed to end the five-month old strike, if the federal government says yes to three of it conditions. The Federal Government has released the details of new duties and levies payable on imported new and used cars as well as imported new tyres from next year, raising the tariff from 20 per cent to 70 per cent. Already, dealers of imported vehicles has estimated that the new rate would translate into an increase of 60 per cent on imported cars. In other words, prices of imported cars currently being sold between N3m and N5m will shoot up to N4.8m and N8m; while tokunbo vehicles selling for N800,000 will rise to N1.28m.
