The candidate of the APC in the just-concluded elections, Muhammadu Buhari, has issued an interim message of thanks and gratitude to Nigerians for choosing him and his party over and above the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, the incumbent President, President Jonathan Goodluck. The party declared victory after Mr. Jonathan called Mr. Buhari at 5:15pm to make a concession and congratulate the winner. A statement issued Tuesday evening by the Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Garba Shehu, said the mood of the country as well as its current state did not warrant the type of wild celebrations reportedly going on in some cities across the country. With presidential election results from all but one of Nigeria’s 36 states counted, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, clearly in unassailable lead, President Goodluck Jonathan has telephoned Mr. Buhari to concede defeat. The spokesperson of the APC, Lai Mohammed, told reporters in Abuja that President Jonathan has conceded defeat. He said the president called Mr. Buhari to congratulate him on wining the presidential election held Saturday. “The President called General Buhari at 5: 05 pm this evening to congratulate him for emerging victorious,” Mr. Mohammed said. He commended the president for “that singular act”. The Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to declare Mr. Buhari winner because it is still expecting results from Nigeria’s remote Borno State. PDP publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh spoke to Channels TV on the outburst of their party agent Elder Godsday Orubebe at the collation center this morning. What he told Chanels TV below "In a democratic process, we must follow democratic channels. Yesterday we questioned the opposition party about certain things they had done to challenge states. We expect our members to follow the same process as well. This party has a tradition of decency and will follow democratic channels to lay complaints. Ours is to protest and make our voices heard through recognized channels and wait for democratic process to be followed. We directed our members that everyone should conduct himself within democratic norms and principles. That is all we have to say about that." he said

This lunatic took to his twitter handle to express his hatred for the Igbos, after the Enugu  presidential election result was announced, claiming that Igbos are the ones dragging the country back and so they all should be eliminated. The PDP party agent at the Collation center in Abuja, Elder Godswill Orubebe is currently staging a protest at the INEC result collation center alleging that Prof Jega has been compromised. According to him, Professor Jega has been selective, partial and is tribalistic. He said APC had written a letter to INEC concerning an alleged rigging in Rivers state which he immediately sent a committee to investigate the issue but that when PDP wrote protest letters on the elections in Katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa, Jega did not send anyone to attend to their protest. Orubebe, who is a former Minister of Niger Delta, is now calling for Jega to stop result collation. He sat on stage and refused to allow the result announcement to continue...
