What were they thinking in fabricating and reporting that Boko Haram kidnapped 276 girls from Chibok on April 13th 2014? Surely, Madame Naomi Mutah and the families of these girls and indeed the whole community of Chibok must have thought it would be a great joke to claim that Boko Haram in a brazen attack stormed into their community and shattered their lives and those of that daughters (whose only crime by the way, was seeking education) by taking them away into the Sambisa forest.  Forget how vulnerable and frightened these adolescent girls must be. I bet they (the people of Chibok, discerning Nigerians and the international community of course), must have thought it would be a great April Fool’s joke (albeit 13 days late) to embarrass the Government,  your husband and show the l...

Over the past few weeks, the abduction of the school girls at Chibok, Borno State has underscored the threat we have been facing as a nation in recent times from the actions of misguided persons masquerading as adherents of Islam. Our hearts are with families who have lost loved ones in this cycle of senseless violence. We also empathize with the parents of children whose daughters are in the custody of a group of anarchists. That horrific video posted on the Internet is a clear manifestation of the mindlessness of the bigots. It shows them for whom they are, such men cannot threaten nor should they be allowed to violate our sovereignty. It is clear from what they profess that they are not followers of God. They do not mean well for our country and her citizens. I am a Muslim, I am versed in the teaching of Christianity and I understand both religions to seek peaceful co-existence of all humanity. I wish to reiterate that there is no justification whatsoever for this unrestrain...

We absolutely accept the fault of misleading the entire public in a video we shared recently about the Boko Harams ( READ HERE ). After further investigation which we carried out, we discovered the horrible scene took place outside the shores of Nigeria. The video was a clip which was released by Somalian Rebels in 2008 and BBc reported it It is important to know it is everyone’s duty to contribute his or her own quota to making Nigeria a Peaceful nation. Wyclef Jean's "April Showers" video has been banned from YouTube, and Tupac Shakur is to blame. As in the image of a dead Tupac's corpse that haunts the video! The track, featuring Mobb Deep, features what sure looks like a shot of the rapper's autopsy at one point, resulting in its removal from the video sharing website. An infamous photo of Tupac's corpse, partially cut open during his autopsy back in 1996, was published in Cathy Scott's book, The Killing of Tupac Shakur. Scott was convinced the image was the real deal and had Wyclef's video yanked from YouTube as a result; she's the one who lodged the complaint. However, 2Pac impersonator Richard Garcia says it's him! Garcia says he was hired to re-create the autopsy for the video - which actually has an anti-gun violence theme, despite its grisly imagery - and obliged. Minna : The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced a shift in the date of its Basic Education Certificate Examination from May 8 to May 10. The Registrar, Prof. Promise Okpala, who announced the new date on Thursday in Minna, said the shift was due to the ongoing World Economic Forum on Africa (WEFA) in Abuja. Okpala said that the examination timetable had to be adjusted because of the closure of public institutions in the FCT which also affected schools. He said that examination materials could not be released while schools in other parts of the country were closed, noting that doing so would affect the credibility of the examination. He said that the examination would now hold on May 10 and end on May 24. He said that French Language and Business Studies examinations, scheduled to hold on Thursday May 8, and Friday May 9, would now hold on Friday May 23, and Saturday May 24, respectively. The Northern Nigeria Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) yesterday released a statement expressing reservations and alleging conspiracy in the Chibok schoolgirls abduction. The chapter said they believe the kidnapping is a conspiracy involving the governor of the state, Kashim Shettima, the principal of the school, the chief security officer of Borno & the commissioner for Education. In the statement, they asked how 300+ girls can disappear into air without any trace and where the daughters of the principal, vice principal & CSO of the state were when the kidnapping took place, and why no single photograph of the Chibok girls has been made public by school authorities. During an interview with Channels TV Sunrise programme yesterday, Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio expressed his reservations about the kidnapped school girls. He wondered why no gun was fired during the kidnap, and why it took Boko Haram two weeks to take responsibility for the kidnapping and also why the statements made by the sect leader tallied with what local media had been reporting for weeks. He probably also has doubts, but as a governor, he was careful with his words. Some of what he said below... "I don't have the details but there are a lot of mysteries surrounding this situation. Two hundred and thirty something girls, for you to take them out of the school, you need a lot of vehicles. I believe if they were walking, definitely it would have been possible for at least one person to have seen these girls. I think there is a regime of fear around those areas where these things are prevalent. Its almost like a conspiracy of silence where nobody is ready ...

This so called Lagos big girl, Identified as Chika, has been busted by some of the guys she sent her private photos to, in a dirty deal to exchange money for séx, just because she observed that the guys were living large. 38-year old Anambra-born alleged drug smuggler, Jude Izuchukwu was arrested this week at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos by officials of NDLEA while attempting to board an Ethiopian flight to China. Jude was caught with 9.375kg of cannabis concealed in dried fish, dried bitter leaf, crayfish, melon and other local food spices he was travelling with. He blamed his involvement with drugs on poverty and said he had no choice but to join the trade since his clothes shop on Lagos Island packed up after he was duped of N5 million. He also said he and his family have been living from hand to mouth since then. The NDLEA Airport Commander however said he was happy Jude was caught in Nigeria because he might have faced death penalty in China., stating that the excuse Jude gave was baseless. 

OK you know what, if the government doesn't do something about jungle justice then I will be forced to think they approve. This is getting out of hand and the sooner we deal with it, the better. Yesterday a woman was set  ablaze  in Abule Egba, Lagos and today another mob killing took place in Akure, Ondo state. The man they burnt to death at Adegbola junction in Akure was allegedly found with a child...some claimed the child was found dead, others said the child wasn't dead, but everyone agreed that the man was either mad or pretended to be mad. SaharaReporters has obtained photos of some of the girls who managed to escape from Boko Haram men after they were kidnapped (pictured above with their mothers/relatives) with many of them weeping as they publicly re-tell the horrors of the late night raid on April 14th. The photos were taken in front of the Government Girls’ Secondary School, in Chibok according to SR, with the remains of the burned out building seen in the background. These images tell a dramatic story of a tiny, and isolated village, Chibok, that the world has now come to know as the site of a mass and disturbing kidnapping.
