Army launches ‘Operation Python Dance in S-East’; Warns IPOB, MASSOB, herdsmen

THE Nigerian Army, yesterday, began a security operation code-named Exercise Python Dance, in the five South-East states as part of efforts to ensure a hitch-free Yuletide period, with a warning to groups in the area that they would be the target if they foment trouble during the period.  Visible signs of the operation were already in place in Anambra State yesterday, as its step-up headquarters located at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, was decorated with Army camouflage.  The one-month exercise would end on December 27, after which the Army would be on ground to maintain peace in the various communities in the geo-political zone. Deputy Director of Army Public Relations of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sagir Musa, told reporters in Awka that the prevalent security issues such as robbery, kidnapping, abduction, herdsmen-farmers clashes and violent secessionist attacks, among others, would be the main focus of the exercise.

The Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Comrade Uchenna Madu, Tuesday, urged the pro-Biafra agitators in the country to pray ahead of the Federal High Court ruling on the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on December 1st.  This statement was contained in a release issued to newsmen in Owerri by Madu. Arrest more judges, Mbaka exhorts FG

Fiery Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Emene, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has called for the arrest of more judges, saying that God was revolutionalising Nigeria with the arrest of judges who were hitherto, the untouchables.  Mbaka, who commended the Federal Government for the arrest of the alleged corrupt judges, said that it would be nice to even arrest more judges as well, as those who influence them to pervert justice.  The fiery priest, who stated this at the thanksgiving mass to mark the Enugu State Judiciary 2016/2017 legal year at the Adoration ground, Emene, said that though some of the arrested judges may not be corrupt as alleged, it is good that they be investigated and if found culpable, imprisoned to serve as a deterrent to others.  Mbaka described the arrest of the judges as supernatural, adding “the arrest of the judges is a supernatural brand new revolution that is going on in all dimensions, in all the three

Photos: Man pretending to be a woman to obtain money from men arrested in Uganda

Police officers have arrested a man in Uganda, Ivan Bebeto, after complaints about a certain woman who steals money from men under the pretence of being a commercial sex worker was made. According to local media reports, Bebeto, who calls himself Queen, was nabbed after it was revealed that he disguises himself to look like a woman and then steals money from his male victims. Gewas was described by his victims as a 'beautiful woman who wore short skirts and heavy makeup.' His notorious activities were reportedly carried out in East and Central Africa. Bebeto met his waterloo when a man who was interested in him, under the assumption that he was a woman, paid him for sexual favours. Bebeto said he could not go to his house, claiming he felt more comfortable in his room, and thus asked the supposed customer to accompany him to a room where he kept his items.  It was that moment that the man suspected Babeto might be a criminal pretendi
