Armed bandits shot and killed ten people in the violence-prone southern Kaduna area in Kaduna State on Saturday night. A few other victims sustained varying degrees of injury, according to a military officer who spoke to SaharaReporters.  In a telephone call to our New York office, the officer disclosed that the bandits shot and instantly killed ten people in Tataura, a small community in the Sanga local government area of Kaduna State. The officer said the attackers opened fire on a group of people who were in a festive mood as part of the continued Christmas season. “We just got a signal that some bandits killed ten people and left them in a pool of their blood. They also injured others,” the officer said. Our correspondent subsequently confirmed the attacks from a police source as well as an official of the local government area. A Syrian boy escaped from Isis  - by volunteering as a suicide bomber and then handing himself in at the mosque he was meant to blow up.
