Counsel informs court of DStv’s disobedience of order restraining price hike

Counsel in the class action suit brought against DStv on Thursday informed the court that the satellite television service provider has gone ahead to give effect to its price increase contrary to the order given by the court. Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos had on April 2, 2015 made orders restraining DStv from giving effect or enforcing its planned increase in cost of the different classes of programme offering pending the determination of the Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction, which was adjourned till April 16, 2015. But when the matter came up on Thursday, the counsel told the court that DStv had breached the order by going ahead to enforce the price increase. Oluyinka Oyeniji led a team of lawyers, including the Osasuyi Adebayo, Mufutau Olajobi, Yemi Salman and Fola Oluwole for the applicants. DStv was represented by Moyo Onigbanjo (SAN) and M.K. Don Moen sings in Igbo

American veteran gospel musician, Don Moen will be singing in Igbo on a new album with fellow singer Frank Edwards. The duo will be collaborating on an EP, and revealed this in a recent video posted online. Don Moen said that they started out with working on a song, before it grew to a five track EP. Doen Moen also said that he was glad to get the opportunity to sing in the Igbo language on one of the songs. This will be the first time that both gospel artists will be working together. A man indicted in America for allegedly smuggling heroin, in a court case that was the basis for the TV hit "Orange Is The New Black," has been elected a senator in Nigeria. Buruji Kashamu was little known before he returned home in 2003 from Britain despite a U.S. extradition order to become a major financier of President Jonathan's party. Election results posted late Wednesday identify Kashamu as a senator-elect in southwest Ogun state. Opponents are challenging his victory in court, saying ballots were rigged. Housemaid in Kenya Caught on Camera Trying to Breastfeed Employer’s Baby (VIDEO)

A housemaid in Nairobi, Kenya was caught on camera attempting to breastfeed her employer’s baby, Nairobi News reports. The maid, Grace Mwikali Mwema, had just been employed two days prior to the incident. A hidden camera in the living room showed Mwema offering the 9-month-old baby her breasts to suck. However, the baby resisted. She was seen offering the baby her right breast first. She then shifts the baby to the left breast. . Throughout, the 9-month-old baby refused to suck her breasts. Eventually, she gave up and let the baby play. What was insulting was the response she gave when confronted with the video. She claimed that the baby made the first move by touching her breasts. . The employer says she was stiff worried that her baby could have been infected. She quickly took Grace for a medical check-up. To her relief, she tested negative for HIV and Hepatitis, both of which can be transmitted through breastfeeding. . . The doctor confirmed t
