On December 5, 2014, Joey Adesina was tracked, chased, cornered in a dead-end street in Padbury Court, off Bethnal Green road and stabbed to death by two men, Lincoln Olaribigbe, 23, and Georgie Philips, 20, according to prosecutors in court yesterday Tuesday, September 29. The 15-year-old had been with a group of friends in Hoxton when he was chased by men from a blue Mercedes, the jury was told. He hid with a friend behind a parked car in the dead-end street but was spotted, pinned against a fence, then dragged away and knifed. A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, says President Muhammadu Buhari, who is a Fulani man, is sympathetic towards Fulani herdsmen. The former minister said this in a Facebook post titled, ‘Herdsmen from hell’ while reacting to the abduction of a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, by suspected Fulani herdsmen. Fani-Kayode said Buhari had in the past referred to Fulani herdsmen as ‘my people’. He, therefore, argued that he was not surprised that Fulani herdsmen were hardly arrested despite their many acts of violence. He said, “In the last few years the Fulani herdsmen have attacked, ravaged and pillaged many rural communities south of the River Niger and they have slaughtered and raped thousands of innocent people in the South-South, the South-East and the South-West. “We recall how, after a violent clash between them and some Yoruba farmers in Oyo State in 2000, General Buhari (as he then was) led a strong delegation o

Tompolo's Contract Remains Intact-New NIMASA Boss

NIMASA has rubbished reports that the federal government has broken off its relationship with Tompolo’s company which is in charge of pipeline security in parts of the country. Isichie Osangbi, Deputy Director of Public relations for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) denied receiving any directive from the presidency to discontinue payment to Global West Vessel Specialists Nigeria Limited (GWVSNL) for the provision of platforms for security of the nation’s waterways, which is owned by the ex-militant leader. “NIMASA is a government agency and would always implement government policy or reform in the maritime sector and not to be seen doing the opposite. Also, as a government agency, NIMASA ought to be in the know if there was any such directive or change in policy, since the alleged directive, according to those peddling the rumour, was meant for the agency to put an end to all payments to Global West Vessel. “I tell you with due sen
