Kanye who hardly smiles and seems unapproachable did something that surprised the paparazzi who took the photos of the encounter. As he was leaving his hotel in New York yesterday, an aspiring rapper took a chance, approached him and started rapping for Kanye. Kanye walked towards his car and the young fan followed him, still busting out his freestyle rap. Kanye's reaction? He entered his car, asked the guy to approach, spent time talking with him and   and then asked for his phone number and promised to call him.

A 34 years old Nigerian boy, Terry Agaga, has been killed in Padova, Italy. The incident happened at the early hour of Monday 20th, at about 5:30am in a black club ‘Le Parisien’ popularly called ‘Port Harcourt club’ by Nigerians. According to eye witness, Terry, who got his Italian residence permit of stay in Sept 2014, got killed because of an argument over a girl. The deceased happened to be a boyfriend to a girl who had a cultist ex boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend who felt dumped by his girlfriend because of a non-cultist guy, was angered by the situation and decided to use violence to get back his girl. It was added that Terry was confronted by a group of guys who started fighting with him till he was stabbed to death with a machete. The Italian police are still investigating the killing of Terry and three Nigerians have been arrested so far. See the graphic Photo Below

INEC officials arrested in Owerri for electoral offences

Head of Operations in the Imo State office of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and about 15 others, have been arrested by eagle-eyed operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS, for allegedly tampering with result sheets and thumb-printing ballot papers. Addressing a press conference, Wednesday, in Owerri, the state chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie, urged the leadership of INEC to not only make the names of the suspects public, but also prosecute them to serve as a deterrent to others. “A little while ago, I received information from a member-elect of our great party that results of the just concluded National Assembly elections were being altered at INEC Headquarters, Owerri. ‘’Since the information appeared to be credible, the Secretary, Organising Secretary and myself went to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr. Gabriel Adah, to ascertain the veracity of the information given to us,” Anyaehi

Boko Haram commander killed in Borno forest - Defence HQ

A notorious commander in Boko Haram sect, Abu Mojahid, was killed by troops in an operation in Alagarno forest, Borno state yesterday April 22nd. A former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, is expected to appear before anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Thursday. PREMIUM TIMES learnt Tuesday that he has been summoned by the Commission and is expected to report at the agency’s Abuja head office to respond to questions bordering on allegations of “misappropriation, embezzlement of funds and abuse of office while he was governor”. Multiple sources at the anti-graft agency told this newspaper that should Mr. Sheriff failed to show up as directed, he would be declared wanted and then arrested. Court jails woman 266 years for stealing employer’s N8million

A female staff of popular eatery, Sweet Sensation, Oluremi Olayinka was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced to 266 years imprisonment by Justice A.A Akinyemi of Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, for stealing N8million belonging to her employer. The offence is contrary to sections 390(6)(7)(8), 467 and 468 respectively of the Criminal Code Law Cap 29, Laws of Ogun State. The court found the convict guilty on all the 34-count charges. She was sentenced to seven years on each of 30 counts and 14 years on the remaining four charges. The sentences are to run concurrently. Additionally, Justice Akinyemi ordered her to return the money she stole in restitution to her victim. Ms. Olayinka was arraigned before Justice Akinyemi on May 13, 2014 following a petition, alleging that she stole the sum of N8,000,000 (Eight Million Naira), which she received on behalf of her employer.
