If you lie to someone to make them sleep with you, new law makes it considered rape

I know some men will find this ridiculous but it's a bill being introduced by a male lawmaker in NJ. It's called 'sexual assault by fraud' and if passed, I'm sure a lot of men & women will be charged...lol. Find the report from  nj.com  below  Imagine this: A man woos a woman to bed with tales of his riches, fast cars and a vacation home in Monaco. But he actually lives in his mother’s basement. Or this: A seemingly wealthy widow convinces a younger man to sleep with her on the notion that they may marry and he’ll inherit her money. In reality, she’s broke. In both cases, someone lied about his or her status in order to have sex with someone else. Under a bill recently proposed by a south Jersey lawmaker, such actions would not only be considered dishonest. They could prompt charges of rape. Earlier this month, state Assemblyman Troy Singleton (D-Burlington - pictured above) introduced the bill (A3908), which would create the crime of “sexual

BREAKING NEWS: Falling Naira: CBN devalues naira, raises lending rate

Image
The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has announced a new official naira-to-dollar exchange rate, forcing down the Nigerian currency by 13 naira, as the country struggles to reshape its fiscal policies in response to dwindling oil price. The bank devalued the naira at its monetary policy committee, MPC, meeting on Tuesday in Abuja, where it also reviewed Nigeria’s monetary policy rate from 12 per cent to 13 per cent. The monetary policy rate highlights lending rate for the country’s economy. The naira will now exchange officially at N168 to a dollar, and no longer N155, the bank said. The bank also moved the private cash reserve ratio from 15 per cent to 20 per cent, while retaining public sector cash reserve ratio at 75 percent. The CBN said the decision to lower the value of naira against the dollar is to strengthen the currency. Mr. Emefiele noted the continued drop in global crude oil prices and reiterated the call on the government and the National Assem

Saudi Arabian restaurants ban single women from entering premises

Image
Restaurants in Saudi Arabia have banned single women from entering because of their 'mentally unstable' behaviour such as using flirting, smoking and using mobile phones. Several restaurants have put up signs that say 'women are not allowed' in another blow for women's rights in the conservative Muslim kingdom. There is no law banning women from travelling alone in Saudi Arabia but deeply-held religious beliefs dictate that they should be accompanied by a male family member when out in public. According to  The Week , one restaurant owner said: 'We put up these signs because we have seen numerous incidents of flirting taking place inside the restaurant. 'We'll only remove these signs when we make sure such incidents never happen again on our premises because such type of behaviour negatively impacts our business.' From a relatively unknown UK-based artiste, Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, D’Banj has become one of the biggest musicians in Africa over the last decade. Widely known as the Kokomaster, D’banj has several local and international awards and endorsement deals to his name today. However, the pop star seems to be going through an unpleasant period in his career as some people who claim to be owed by D’banj are threatening a legal action against him. According to NET investigations, the issuance of dud cheques and non-payment of accrued debts top the list of infractions against the DB Records boss who now calls himself Bangalee. As things stand, D’banj may be dragged to court by a top oil and gas industry player, Henry Ojogho, Vice Chairman of Broron Group.
