Franklin Njoku, pictured above, a Senior School Certificate Examination candidate who rented a room in a house belonging to one Mr Eze, is currently in police custody after he lured his landlord's four-year-old daughter into the bush, defiled the little girl,  murdered her then hanged her on a dwarf palm tree near their house. Boko Haram militants have stepped up attacks in Borno state overnight as members of the deadly northern Nigerian sect yesterday  sacked police and army checkpoints in Gamboru Ngala and Shanni  near the Nigerian/Camerounian border Overnight, the militants raided Waranbe village in Gwoza. Gwoza is  130 kilometers from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. In Waranbe Boko Haram militants abducted 8 teenage girls and took over all the highways leading to Gwoza according to the residents of the area who said the sect currently controls the entire area around Gwoza. Unknown gunmen have attacked a primary school at Nyanya the scene of recent bombing attacks in Abuja. Multiple sources within and around the Vine International Academy school told SaharaReporters that the gunmen launched the attack few minutes before 8 am. No pupil or member of staff was hurt, but the gunmen snatched the school bus. “We do not know if they are members of Boko Haram or if they are robbers”, an official of the school said. “The sad thing is that parents do not want to know if it’s Boko Haram or not. Many of them are coming to take away their children out of panic”. When the rumours of the kidnap spread on Tuesday morning, parents were seen rushing to schools in Nyanya, Kurudu and other adjoining communities to pick their wards. Reports reaching us from Nyanya, Abuja has it that a school bus belonging to a private school has been reportedly hijacked by unknown gunmen, Tuesday morning. According to the sketchy report, the bus, which belongs to a private school, Divine Kiddies Academy was said to have dropped off students of the school having routinely picked them from their various homes when some armed men invaded the school premises and made away with it. A British woman in her 20s was arrested after losing her temper with cabin crew who caught her locked in an aeroplane toilet with a man she had just met. The apparently drunk tourist is said to have been handcuffed to a chair by flight attendants – to the horror of her parents, who were travelling with her. She was on an 11-hour Virgin Atlantic flight from Gatwick to Las Vegas last week when she reportedly struck up a friendship with the man sitting in  the next seat.  They disappeared to the aircraft toilet and other travellers soon complained of hearing noises from inside. LAGOS — The prosecution in the trial of Cynthia Osokogu’s alleged murderers, yesterday, presented before a Lagos High Court in Igbosere, a laptop containing naked pictures of the deceased. Among the pictures presented, Cynthia’s body was seen cellotaped. In another one, her international passport was placed on her chest and another picture was a close-up shot of her private part. ABAKALIKI — A middle aged man (names withheld), yesterday, died in Abakaliki while having marathon sex with a female student of Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki. The incident, it was gathered, happened at the girl’s hostel room near the Presco campus of the university. Sources at the hostel, where the incident occurred, said the man died in the day time inside the room of the said female student located at Goddy Ogbaga Avenue during a marathon sex with her.
