Alison-Madueke denies that six countries turned down her asylum request

Image
This evening Sahara Reporters published a blockbuster report they got from Business Council for Africa (BCA) claiming that Petroleum Minister, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, has been denied asylum by six countries where she had so far applied. The report claims she's looking for a country to run to before Gen. Buhari takes over as president because she's scared she might be probed or jailed. But reacting this evening, Alison-Madueke, through the Group Public Affairs GM of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Ohi Alegbe, said there's absolutely nothing of such happening. She said she has no intentions of either seeking asylum anywhere in the world or even relocating from Nigeria. Read the  Sahara Reporters /BCA report after the cut... No fewer than six countries have already refused to grant an asylum request by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, the Business Council for Africa (BCA) said in its just-rele

OLX’s reaction to the Orekoya boys kidnap will shock you (READ)

Image
This is based on what an online media YNija Published. We already criticised the fact that the mother of the three kidnapped Orekoya boys may have been careless enough to contract the kidnapper-nanny from a fraud prone platform, but we didn’t expect the administrators of the site would be unsympathetic about her plight. Days after the unfortunate abduction, the e-commerce platform, OLX has spoken out on the incident. The Country Manager, OLX Nigeria, Lola Masha, spoke on behalf of the company expressing deep concern in one tone and in another, she proved that they were indifferent to the happenings. According to her statement, she wasn’t indeed worried one bit about the boys who are missing, but at the fact that it was on the company’s platform. Seeing as these things happen everyday on their platform, her careless response isn’t exactly surprising. Instead of showing a little empathy, she insisted that the online platform for e-Commerce business is still t

Statement from Oyo Governorship candidate who allegedly removed transformer he donated to community because he lost

Image
This morning, we read that the PDP governorship candidate in Oyo state, Teslim Folarin, allegedly removed a transformer he donated to a community after he lost in the election. (read  here ). Well. he just released a statement saying it's not true. Read below... It is with sadness that I learnt of a particular incident which purportedly took place in the Sabo area of Ibadan on Sunday. I understand that a transformer which I had donated to the community was the subject of controversy between the youths of the area and some leaders with either side accusing the other of trying to sell the transformer. The PDP youths in the area subsequently took the transformer to a safe place within Sabo area itself pending an amicable resolution which I understand was resolved by the leaders of the community. Fact; I was not aware of this incident until this morning when I was woken up with headlines all over the internet that I had taken back the transformer because I had lost an e

Image
No fewer than six countries have already refused to grant an asylum request by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, the Business Council for Africa (BCA) said in its just-released monthly report, noting that about US$ 1 trillion is the latest estimated figure of the looting of the Nigerian treasury between 1960 and 2005 alone. The report, dated March 2015, focused extensively on Nigeria’s general elections. It said the notorious Minister, whose impunity is known to have been closely-protected by President Goodluck Jonathan, will be coming under the microscope for the first time in her Ministerial career. “Given her reputation, it comes as no surprise to learn that 6 countries have already refused to grant her asylum to live in their countries as she now wishes to leave Nigeria at the earliest possible opportunity,” it said. BCA recalled President-elect Muhammadu Buhari lamenting that the rest of the world looks at Nigeria as the

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, over Tuesday’s Supreme Court ruling which upheld his election. The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said the ruling “is a testimony that the judiciary is still the last hope of the common man having sustained the wishes and aspirations of the people of Ekiti state as expressed in the June 21, 2014 governorship election.” PDP said it regrets that the ruling came when “key institutions of democracy such as INEC and some security personnel, have already started compromising their independence apparently under the dictates of an obsessive APC”. “Mr. Fayose displayed doggedness and triumphed in the face of daunting challenges from anti-democratic forces and urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory while using his mandate to deliver good governance in line with the PDP manifesto and vision of the founding fathers,” the party said. Image
Popular OAP, Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka, born to a Ghanaian mother and Nigerian father from Abia state, was reportedly kidnapped a few days ago and allegedly raped by her abductors. According to media reports, her colleagues said the last time they heard from her was Easter Friday but when they didn't see her throughout last week, they declared her missing yesterday Monday April 13th. Last night, her abductors reportedly posted nude photos of Adaeze to her Whatsapp and Facebook page using her phone.
