Ex-militant Niger Delta militant Asari-Dokubo has vowed to retaliate the attack carried out by some hoodlums on President Jonathan's convoy during his campaign rally in Katsina state yesterday Jan. 20th. At a press conference in Abuja today Asari-Dokubo said for every action, there will be an opposite and equal reaction. He called on the Igbos in the north to come home, saying failure to do so and they'll themselves to blame. A 59-year-old man, Ferdinand Duwanamu, has been arrested by the Taraba State Police Command, Jalingo, after he was accused of raping 2 little girls who are sisters, aged 3 and 5 respectively. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ademola Omole, made the revelation while briefing newsmen on the arrests his command made during and after the yuletide season. The Commissioner said that the father of the two girls, Igwe Samson, a business man based in the city, reported the case to the Kurmi division and the police moved to arrest the accused. Admitting his sordid crime while begging for mercy, the accused said it was the devil that made him carry out the act. "I lost my wife almost 10 years ago and my first daughter is 34-years-old. This is a mistake and I think it is the work of the devil. This is the first time in my life that I would do such a thing and I wish it never happened." Scientists have dubbed 'woman on top' as the riskiest  sexual  position, due to the high likelihood of penile fractures. This was followed by doggy style (28.6%), while missionary was deemed the safest, accounting for just 21.4% of broken penises in the study. The Brazilian scientists who conducted the study say this may be because the woman is placing her entire weight on her partner's piece, meaning she is unable to correct a "wrong way penetration"  situation. Half of people involved in the study reported hearing a loud crack, seeing swelling and feeling pain. The Lagos State Government has ordered the Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) and its affiliates to immediately remove all President Goodluck Jonathan campaign materials illegally deployed on street lamp poles in Lagos. The Federal government says the highly transmittable avian influenza viral disease also known as Bird flu has spread to five more states asides Lagos and Kaduna where the first cases were recorded in Nigeria. The states with the latest cases of the disease in poultry animals include Ogun, Delta, Rivers, Edo and Plateau states. Speaking at a press conference today in Abuja, the Minister of Agriculture, Akinwunmi Adeshina said 15 commercial farms and 9 live bird Markets have been affected by the disease in the five states. He stated that the disease has not reached an epidemic state in Nigeria and that everything is being done to contain its spread in the country. "We are not in a state of any epidemic. Seven states have so far reported cases of the bird flu – Kano, Lagos, Ogun, Delta, Rivers, Edo and Plateau States. The results, obtained exclusively by PREMIUM TIMES Wednesday, confirm Mr. Buhari’s claim that he undertook the University of Cambridge West African School Certificate Examinations and obtained five credits in English Language, Geography, Hausa Language, History, and Health Science. Former Nigerian International goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has been diagnosed with cancer. The ex-Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper is currently at a Spanish hospital where he is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. Agbonavbare was a member of Nigeria’s U-21 Mexico 1983 Flying Eagles, 1984 AFCON silver medalist and 1994 AFCON gold medalist. He lost his wife three years ago to breast cancer.

After last week Thursday's Abuja meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan with some Pentecostal pastors including Bishops David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel and Felix Omobude, the PFN president, PDP political strategists are unconvinced how much the pastors can truly deliver on their promises to help the President. The controversial leader of the Boko Haram terror group Abubakar Shekau on Tuesday declared the duo of President Goodluck Jonathan and his 2015 arch-rival, Muhammadu Buhari as infidels who cannot rule Nigeria. He declared that the war he is waging would soon bring democracy to an end.
