Today, China revealed its first anti-drone laser weapon , on the heels of a similar deployment by the US military earlier this year . According to state media, the system can bring down a drone within five seconds of locating the target, and is operable within a 1.2 mile radius of the installation.   The system is designed for drones flying at altitudes around 1600 feet and at speeds of just over 100 miles per hour, putting most military drones within reach of the device. Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members yesterday night November 2nd attacked Koton-Karfi federal prison in Kogi state, freeing 144 inmates. One inmate was reportedly killed during the prison break. The Koton-Karfi prison authorities later said 12 inmates that escaped during the jail break have been re-arrested.

A bomb attack has reportedly occurred in Potiskum, Yobe state. Witnesses say a suicide bomber targeting members of the Shiite group, Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria, detonated his explosive vest, killing many instantly. A resident of the town, Adamu Mohammed, told PREMIUM TIMES over the telephone that nearly 20 persons were killed and several others injured. “My sister lost three of her sons in the blast,” he said. So this disgusting guy who goes by the twitter name @KILLSemaj posted a pic on twitter that got people so mad, they called the police, FBI and reported him to Twitter.  The pic is still somewhere on twitter but don't go looking for it, because it's child porn and it's wrong and illegal! Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, Imo state command have arrested a 52 year old woman, Mrs Esther Akunmadu (pictured above), for allegedly operating a baby factory in the Umutueke community in Imo state.  Parading her before newsmen, the state NSCDC deputy commandant, Ade Micheal, said the woman was arrested following a tip off from members of the community,  a claim the accused woman denied "She said she is a retired midwife and she runs a maternity home that has no name and no certificate." he said A search carried out at the supposed maternity home which she opened about a year ago revealed she had four women and two one-week old babies in the premises. The NSCDC boss alleged that the woman bribed his men with N100,000 which they collected but presented before newsmen. When interrogated, a distraught Mrs Akunmadu who spoke in pidgin English denied running a baby factory but admitted bribing the officials with N100,000.
