Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the secret trip made today, by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd)  to the United Kingdom (UK) enroute United States of America (USA) for medical treatment has shown that the APC leaders, especially Senator Bola Tinubu were covering up his (Buhari) true health status for their selfish gains. Buhari travelled to the UK today unannounced, fueling speculations that he was flown abroad in an air ambulance. The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari today (Thursday) left Abuja on a short working visit to the United Kingdom, his campaign organisation has said. In the course of this visit, Mr. Buhari will hold meetings with key members of the British political establishment and interact with some global institutions with interest in the affairs of Nigeria. “General Buhari would hopefully give a talk at the prestigious foreign policy hub, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatam House in London, the spokesperson for his campaign, Garba Shehu, said. The APC presidential candidate had on January 23 cancelled a similar visit to the United States, which would have seen him speak at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, CSIS, which invited him. Cultists kill mate at girlfriend's birthday party in Ondo

Bolaji a 21-year-old student in Ondo, head­quarters of Ondo West Local Govern­ment Area of Ondo State met his end when he least expected. He was killed at a birthday party he organised for his girlfriend by suspected cultists. According to the Sun ,a clash between two rival cult groups during the ceremony claimed the life of the host, alleged to be a member of one of the cult groups in the town. The deceased who was said to have come from a wealthy family organised the bash for his girlfriend unaware that members of the rival cult group would grace the ceremony with his friends who were members of another cult group operat­ing in the town. A motorcycle rider identified as Yakubu Samuel was this morning Feb. 19th crushed to death by an Ebute Metta-bound train coming from Ijoko in Ogun State. According to  PM News , Yakubu ignored the Nigeria Railway Corporation traffic control officer who stopped all vehicles to pave way for the train to pass at the Fagba level crossing in Iju Ishagba, one of the rail terminal points. He was obviously in a hurry and so he ran into the train and was crushed to death on the spot. Yakubu was a security officer at CLAM church in Omole, Lagos. Sympathizers at the scene of the accident used his phone to contact his family members. See the graphic photo below

More facts appear to be emerging on the allegation by Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, that President Goodluck Jonathan gave pastors across the country N6bn to vote against the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), in the presidential election. A Borno-based Pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, said on Thursday that the money that was given to pastors by the President was actually N7bn and not N6bn as alleged by Amaechi, who doubles as the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation. Amaechi had alleged that unnamed leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party paid N6bn to Christian clerics to campaign against Buhari and the APC. The governor’s allegation caused a stir among the Christian clerics, with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Northern State Christian Elders Forum asking Amaechi to name the church leaders, who collected the huge bribe. The Nigerian Senate has just summoned the nation’s service chiefs to clarify the reasons security agencies were unavailable to provide security during the dates of elections. As Premium Times informs, the decision was made at plenary after yesterday meeting with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Attahiru Jega. The Senate Minority Leader, George Akume, informed the service chiefs are invited for questioning after the INEC chairman said he could not answer some questions put to him. Moreover, the lawmaker Bukola Saraki, while speaking to reporters after the plenary, said it is necessary for the service chiefs to be summoned because there were only few questions Mr. Jega could give answer to. Also, Mr. Saraki, as well as Mr. Jega, said security problems concerning the election are out of the answers, until the service chiefs are present. “Next week, we hope the leadership will do the right thing,” Mr. Saraki said. 3 women seal,sell baby for N600k

Four women are now assisting the Anambra State Police Command to unveil the mystery behind the sale of a two-month-old baby girl for N625,000 to a person living in Enugu, after being cleverly whisked from her mother at Nnewi, Anambra State. Three of the women were arrested by the police from Ogigi Police Station, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State and were allegedly accused of selling the baby while the forth one was buying the baby.
