The national leader of the Nigeria’s main opposition party All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, has bemoaned that his private residence along Bouillon Road in Ikoyi, has been under surveillance by soldiers for three days. Tinubu lamented that about 30 soldiers “battle-ready and helmet-wearing” riding in three patrol vans and an army truck have been stationed close to the entrance of the gate to Tinubu’s house. In a comment released by his media office Tinubu claimed that the soldiers were first noticed on Sunday a few minutes to 11pm in an army truck and were positioned about 500 meters away from his entrance. “Later they moved close to his gate as if making efforts to enter. Barely a year after a recruitment exercise conducted by the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, led to a stampede and deaths of many of applicants, reports say the NIS is set to embark on a similar exercise. This detail was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NIS, Chukwuemeka Obuah, a statement issued on Monday after advertorials were placed in major media outlets at the weekend. “The Presidential Committee To Assist In Immigration Recruitment on Monday February 9, 2015 placed advertorial in some national dailies requesting applications from suitable Nigerians for enlistment into the Nigeria Immigration Service starting from 9 February, 2015 to 22 March, 2015. In 1998, Don Collins (pictured left), then just 13 years old doused 8 year old Robbie Middleton (pictured right) with gasoline and lit him on fire. Prosecutors said yesterday Feb. 9th that Collins carried out the horrific attack, which happened on Robbie's 8th birthday - to stop him from reporting sexual abuse. Robbie suffered burns over 99% of his body.   Collins wasn't arrested immediately even though Robbie had identified him as his attacker. There wasn't much evidence against him, and especially because of his age. Robbie endured over 150 surgeries before finally succumbing to skin cancer after a life of agony. But before he died in 2011, he told the police that Collins had raped him two weeks before the attack. Relatives of Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has been in a medically induced coma for more than 10 days, have reportedly agreed to let her die tomorrow - the same date as her mother. The daughter of the late Whitney Houston, and singer Bobby Brown, was found face down in a bath tub and was later discovered with bruises over her body and face. She has been in a medically induced coma ever since and relatives are now thought to be discussing allowing her to die tomorrow, page six reported. Latest report informs that Niger’s parliament has voted to send troops to Nigeria to join the fight against Islamist militants group Boko Haram. According to BBC report, the country decided to take the decision after Boko Haram attacked a prison and detonated a car bomb on Monday in the town of Diffa, near Niger’s border with Nigeria. It was gathered that the Nigerien parliament unanimously authorized deploying 750 soldiers to a regional force battling Boko Haram as the Nigerian conflict has increasingly drawn in regional states. A wanted suspect in connection with the murder of a youth leader at Ebubu community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Emmanuel Jeremiah (22) has been arrested by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Rivers State Police Command. Jeremiah, who is reported to be a member of Dey Bam cult in the community, had been at large since the killing of the youth leader, William Adantha Samora, in 2013. His other cult members whose names were given as Asegoo, Nnanna, Parass, Sky Bee, Slim Body, Philip and Mba, led by a young man, simply called Mopol, were arrested after the incident and charged to Magistrates’ Court 2, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. .
