Actress Alice Eve comes for Bruce Jenner, says he's 'playing at being a woman'

Image
Since his interview where he announced that  he thinks of himself as a woman and has begun gender reassignment treatment,  US celebs have been calling Bruce Jenner a hero, praising him for finding the strength to tell his truth etc but one actress has  boldly gone where few public figures have gone. According to Star Trek Alice Eve, Bruce Jenner is only 'playing at being a woman' " 'For all intents and purposes I am a woman' Nope. If you were a woman no one would have heard of you because women can’t compete in the decathlon. You wouldn’t be a hero. You would be a frustrated young athlete who wasn't given a chance. Until women are paid the same as men, then playing at being a “woman” while retaining the benefits of being a man is unfair. Do you have a vagina? Are you paid less than men? Then, my friend, you are a woman.’ Alice wrote on instagram (she has since deleted the post)

I would say that we have not been able to move the elephant.”     Oby blamed the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan for its inaction

Wendy Williams speaks on the Bruce Jenner interview

Image
A lot of people have been waiting for Wendy's opinion on the Bruce Jenner interview and on her show yesterday, she spoke about it...but she kinda backtracked a bit from her initial bashing of Bruce saying instead that the interview made her cry and called him brave. But Wendy being Wendy, she wasn't all positive. After commending Bruce, she called him 'Fame hungry'... "I'm happy for Bruce, I'm happy for anybody who can live in their own truth. And yeah, he's brave because his life will never be the same. He will be haunted like a wild dog for the rest of his life. The thing about Bruce is that it was all so deceptive because he really is a fame hungry person like the rest of the family." Watch the video after the cut...   Starts from 3.15 mark

The sad story of three Nigerians on death row in Indonesia — Ambassador Purwanto

Image
In this interview, the Indonesia Ambassador to Nigeria, Harry Purwanto, shares the story of Indonesia legislation that recognises capital punishment for serious crimes. In your CV, I saw that you were once a Deputy Chief of National Counter Terrorism Agency. What was your experience like working with the agency? Terrorism in Indonesia is not a joke, it is really there. We experienced terror attacks in Indonesia with more than 400 dead. The danger in terrorism actually is not in the attacks. The danger is in the impact, the population is intimidated, that is the first. The second, they try to destabilize the economy, offer the people their ideology. Terrorism in Indonesia is mostly ideological-driven. Indonesia has suffered from terrorism since independence. This agency is relatively young; it was established in 2011, it is doing a lot. We apply a two-pronged approach – the hard approach and the soft approach. On the hard approach, we try to crush, de

The policeman who was part of an escort van came down from his police vehicle, approached the truck and an argument ensued. They burnt tyres and blocked the gate leading to the company where the policeman worked. When the protest seemed to be getting out of hand, the army had to be called in and they came with an armored tank. See the below
