Music superstar D'banj has threatened to sue UK tabloid, Daily Mail for describing him as a 'legendary womanizer' in an article they wrote a few weeks back about Kenya Moore and her fake African prince. (See that  here ).  Speaking exclusively with Encomium mag, D'banj rubbished the report, insisting Daily Mail goofed. He said he's discussing with his legal team with a view to suing Daily Mail for maligning him.. "The story has no substance. I am even about to sue UK Daily Mail for defamation of character. I am discussing with my legal team. They didn't hear from me. Everything they wrote is totally wrong. They defined Kokomaster wrongly. I think they wanted to talk about Kenya Moore, who was a former Miss America, but they didn't get their facts right. Everything they wrote was false. Embattled banker and former Managing Director of the now defunct Intercontinental Bank, Erastus Akingbola's London home has been sold by the UK government for  £ 5.7million pounds, which is about N1.5billion.    A UK Judge, Justice Michael Burton of the Royal Courts of Justice, London, had on July 31 2012, found Erastus Akingbola guilty of theft and fraud of monies totaling  £ 654million and ordered that his London home be sold as part of the properties he is to forfeit having been found guilty.   Mr Akingbola is also standing trial for Financial Crimes here in Nigeria. He is accused by the EFCC of stealing N47billion depositors funds from Intercontinental Bank.

(CNN) -- Eight previously unheard Michael Jackson songs will be released on a new album in May, Epic Records announced Monday. The late pop icon's music has been "contemporized" by several producers who Epic Chairman L.A. Reid believes have the "gravitas, depth and range to creatively engage with Jackson's work," the announcement said. Fans can preorder the new album, titled "Xscape," on iTunes starting Tuesday, but it will be in stores around the world on May 13, the company said. Jackson died at age 50 on June 25, 2009, while preparing for his "This Is It" comeback tour.

The lifeless body of a 300 level Economics student of the Lagos State University (LASU) was found at Ijesha on three days after family and friends declared her missing A member of the Neighbourhood Watch, Mr Badmus Azeez Adeniyi, said  "I was alerted by one of my younger sisters who was going out very early this morning (Thursday) to buy goods from Seme.She rushed to call me, panting heavily, trying to inform me that there is somebody that is lying on the road near Odo Olowu bus stop on Apapa – Oshodi Expressway. "We rushed down to the scene and found out this lifeless body lying over there. Immediately we alerted the police and they came.  

A suspected pipeline vandal, who has been arrested by the Inspector General of Police Special Task Force on Anti-Pipeline Vandalism, says he took to the illegitimate business because of the failure of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to provide quality service to Nigerians. PUNCH Metro learnt that the 40-year-old suspect, Soji Omomoyesan, was arrested alongside one Rotanna Ifeanyi after causing a fire outbreak at an oil pipeline at the Ilare/Magbon area of Ikorodu, Lagos State on March 20, 2014. They were, however, arrested by members of the community who trailed them to the house of an herbalist where they had gone to receive treatment from the burns they sustained.  

A 24-year-old electrician, who was recently arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos State for kidnapping, has said kidnapping is tempting because kidnappers live large in his hometown. PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspect, Bernard Okoro, was arrested alongside five others for kidnapping a businessman in the Agbara area of Ogun State. According to the police, some of the suspects were also involved in the kidnapping of a Briton, Lee Dixon, near the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in 2013. Okoro is said to be the half-brother of a kidnapping kingpin, Samuel Peter, aka K Boy, who masterminded the Briton’s kidnap. According to the police, K Boy owns a big house in the highbrow area of Imo State and also drives the latest Honda MDX Sports Utility Vehicle and a Land Rover LR3.  

A boy in Daya Village, Fika LGA of Yobe State, yesterday, Monday March 31st allegedly killed his younger brother and removed his tongue and eyes,  Premium Times  reports A resident of Daya, Ishmail Daya, said that the younger boy had gone missing three days ago and that while a search was going on in the village, the older brother was found with his brother’s tongue and eyes. “He killed his younger brother and buried him on his father’s farmland,” Ishmail said. Both the alleged killer and the victim are believed to be underage. He insisted that there had been no prior quarrel between the siblings. “There was no fight, he just killed his brother. Though investigation is still going on, but there was no fight,” he said. The district head and Galadima of Fika, Fika LGA, Garba Daya, confirmed the incident. “Yes, it actually happened in Daya,” he said, adding that the killer was currently in police custody. The leaders said the government could not claim ignorance of the development and that it is indeed a bad omen if a convoy of about 20 to 30 Toyota Hilux vehicles could move freely without being detected despite the so called curfew in place. “Are the authorities unaware of helicopters dropping arms and ammunition, food and medical supplies to areas well known to be strong holds of the insurgents?  “How were the insurgents able to attack the Maiduguri Air-Force Base and demobilise as well as burn planes and other military installations despite existing state of emergency and curfew in the town? How could 20 to 30 Toyota Hilux vehicles move in a convoy freely with subsisting curfew and still go undetected?

A man has been left without genitals and with three missing toes after a witch doctor told him that losing his body parts would make him rich. Chamangeni Zulu, from Malawi, has been hospitalised at Chipata General Hospital in Zambia, near the Malawi border, after he allowed the hyena to eat his manhood.   Mr Zulu told the Times of Zambia yesterday that he was promised by a witch doctor that by sacrificing his body parts he would become rich. 'I met some business persons who told me the best way to become rich was to sacrifice parts of my body,' he told the paper. At around 4am on Monday last week, the man went into the Zambian bush.
