ELECTION TIMETABLE: 2015 Presidential Election To Hold On Valentine’s Day

Nigeria's election management body, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released the election timetable for the forthcoming general elections in Nigeria. The timetable will see presidential election hold on Valentine's' day, February 14, 2015. The presidential election will hold alongside elections into the National Assembly – Senate and House of Representatives. Governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections will hold 14 days later in February 28, 2015. The spokesperson for the INEC chairman, Kayode Idowu, announced the timetable on Friday in a statement. The announced timetable included dates for the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states. The Ekiti governorship election is scheduled for June 21, 2014 while that of Osun has been fixed for August 9, 2014.
