A man in India has been arrested for having consensual gay sex after his wife installed miniature video cameras in every room of their home and filmed his encounters. Bangalore police arrested the man under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code – a 153-year-old law dating back to British colonial days prohibiting sodomy, consensual or otherwise. It makes it an offense to commit 'carnal intercourse against the order of nature.' The clause, which had been deemed unconstitutional by the High Court but was subsequently re-instated by the Supreme Court last December, makes gay sex punishable with life imprisonment. The man's wife lodged a complaint against him on October 20, as well as her in-laws, for cheating her. 'My in-laws knew that their son was gay. I have a bit of a confession to make: bearded guys make me weak in the knees. His name was John Moore and he was the famous "Father Christmas" who inspired Coca Cola’s character and appeared in many ads for the brand. He died recently at the age of 86 and is being buried today in Burgess Hill, Sussex,UK. When he was not shooting for Coca-Cola, he spent the rest of the year working as a taxi driver and barman. RIP, Mr Moore.

Rukewe, 30, a final year student of Computer and Statistics at the University of Benin, was arrested by officials of a new generation bank on May 28, 2014 in Benin City and handed over to the EFCC for further investigation. Troubles started for him when Albert alleged that within two months after he had internet contact with him, Rukewe fraudulently obtained the sum of $12,088,75 (Twelve Thousand Eighty Eight Dollars and Seventy Five Cents) from him. An explosion has ripped through a bus station in Gombe, residents and witnesses have told PREMIUM TIMES. The explosion, our sources said, happened Friday morning at the popular Gombe Line Transport Services Limited. Details of the incident are still sketchy, but Abdulrahman Suae, a resident of the area, said he saw about five people being evacuated to the Gombe General Hospital. He was unable to confirm whether they were dead or simply injured. Another witness said the Police have cordoned off the area and that emergency officials were rushing injured victims to hospital. The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Police could not be reached yet for details of the incident. Details later….. Agu, Okoye and Ezenna A suspected cocaine dealer, Kingsley Agu, who was recently arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos has told operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency that he took to crime because he needed money to fund his father’s burial. PUNCH Metro learnt that 30-year-old Agu was arrested with two others – Joseph Ezenna and Israel Okoye – for smuggling cocaine valued at N131m from Brazil. Agu, who seemed remorseful for his act, said he was a trader in Aba, Abia State but was forced to travel to Brazil because of economic hardship. He said while in Brazil, he got news of his father’s death and could not even afford a flight ticket so he decided to go into drug smuggling to fund his trip and his father’s burial. He said, “I was born in Enugu. I sell clothes at Aba market. I travelled to Brazil in April 2014 because my business was not doing well. A 25-year-old Liberian refugee, Mr. Moses Andrel, and four others have been arrested by the police in Lagos for allegedly snatching 15 vehicles in different parts of the country. PUNCH Metro learnt that the robbery syndicate was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Lagos State Police Command on October 19. Apart from Andrel, other members of the gang arrested were: Mahmud Tanko, Musa Yusuf, Abayomi Adebayo and Israel Nana. According to the police, the gang members were arrested from different hideouts in the country including Abuja and Akwa Ibom.
